Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

Pellegrini seems to have lost the plot. For whatever reason, we only seem to be able to counterattack rather than build up a chance. Since the Palace game our PL opponents simply suck us on to them and hit us on the counter. Whether that's early long balls of Burnley or fast attacking runners (Palac...

Noble seems to be playing deeper than last week, which is encouraging.

Re: ⚽ Burnley FC v West Ham United: Match thread (09/11)

That doesn't look like a line up that will cope with Burnley's big lads at all.

Burnley to sit back and suck us on to them then score three goals from long balls/set pieces.

Re: Roberto Jimenez

Roberto isn't great but back up keepers rarely are. The problems we have are - and were also last season - that we allow the opposition far too many good chances. Fabianski's ridiculous form last season (statsbomb has him saving 13 expected goals) papered over weaknesses that we failed to address, e...

With the players we have, we'd be better off going 3-4-3.
Do we think there's any chance of Pellegrini recognizing this?

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

Pellegrini out.

Not that the board will do anything until we're in the relegation zone, but that was awful team selection: slow fullbacks against pacy attacking midfielders and the usual dire defending at set pieces. Sent on Ajeti who did nothing when Yarmo has been our most productive AM.

That was much better from Roberto, but we have really lost the plot.

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Sheffield United: Match thread (26/10)

Lovely ball from Yarmo and a composed finish from Snodders.

Don't really see the point in starting with Zabaleta and I would like to see Fredericks come on to provide more attacking threat. Am convinced we'll need a second goal to secure the win.

Re: January

Pelle needs to start getting a tune out of at least two of Anderson, Lanzini & Fornals on a regular basis. Yarmo can't carry all the threat from the 3 AMs. As to January, I don't see the point of recalling Diangana assuming Yarmo is playing well. Neither are suited to playing through the middle: Yar...

Re: ⚽ Everton v West Ham United: Match Thread

Everton like a high, hard press so we'll need to be both brave and smart with our passing. Break their press and we should create good chances. 2 all draw. Forgot to note that we should try not to be hopeless with our passing. Too many under-hit passes today, as well as a whole bunch of flicks in t...

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Crystal Palace: Match Thread

Got a bad feeling about this. Palace are looking a lot more of a Hodgson side this season: better organized and harder to break down than in recent years.
