Re: West Ham United v Liverpool Match Thread

Has to be 3 points. Absolutely anything else would be an absolute tragedy. 6 points against the filthiest club in world football would be the crowning achievement of our season, no matter what the eventual outcome would be.

None of this 1-0 business either. I want to see them absolutely STOMPED.

Re: What did you watch last night?

Anyway, I thought The Martian was just fine. A good adaptation of a great book. Lovely visuals, some of the best I've seen yet.

Re: West Ham United v Southampton: Match Thread

It's hard to believe, but I think we have only lost one match since Payet's been out and I think he should be back for next Saturday Quite. We've took points without our best player, by some distance - one of the best in the league. Hope he gets back to form and maintains fitness, because we should...

Re: West Ham United v Southampton: Match Thread

So then. A game of two halves, as it were. Massively satisfying win. Can't help thinking that under Allardyce, that would have ended 0-1 or worse. Hats off to Slav for doing what a football manager is meant to do - make the decisions that help win a game.

Re: KUMB Game of the Year 2015

To be fair, when I do play video games, I play vintage stuff far more than anything modern. I'm playing Max Payne again now, on an old laptop connected to my TV. At 1080p with the graphics ramped up to full - well, it's obviously pretty dated compared with today's stuff, but doesn't mean it's any le...

Re: What did you watch last night?

Spectre. Worst Bond since Quantum. Obvious plot re-write didn't help, but Craig looks so chisel-faced and bored with the role. Got his money now, so clearly can't be bothered to put in a shift any more. Time to get shot of him, and bring in Nicholas Hoult. Waltz was also utter rubbish as Blofeld. Gi...

Re: Star Wars Battlefront

Had a peek at this on my next-door neighbour's new mega-gaming-PC rig. Looked f*****g boring to me, which he confirmed, having played it for a couple of days, then binned it. What a shame. All those lovely graphics and sounds, and gameplay that looked like it was from 1996.

Re: Little things that irritate you

I had my cousin's husband tell me that he'd been explaining to Philip Green how badly he was running his business, and how his advice to Green saved him over 100 million this year. He also told me that he could never do the work I do - I do back office stuff, apparently, which is news to me - becaus...

Despite my pleading in advance of the day for my parents to set their central heating to a sensible level, it was still slightly hotter than the core of a white dwarf star.

Spending 3/4 of Christmas day on Skype. The Internet has brought us many wonderful things - the ability to have extremely long and boring conversations with old people isn't one of them.

Packets of crisps that appear to have a maximum of 7 crisps per packet. Walkers "Deep Ridged" are particularly bad for this.

Re: what pub have you been in today ? Rate it out of 10

Brick makers Arms, Windlesham. Lovely pub under normal circumstances, but it being Xmas, it was rammed with awful upper-middle class pricks with no manners, roaring and screeching with laughter. Surrey's lovely and all that, but dear God, the people are something else. Edit: Beer & food - 8/10 C...

That's because it was a scissors tackle on Zarate. When are officials going to start penalising dangerous play like that?
