Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

Yes, he can play for us in Europa if we sign him. We can register three players. It doesn't matter whether they have played in any European group stage.

I'm right in saying that if we sign Caleta-Car he can't play in Europe for us, right?
I think he can. They've changed the rules I believe. I'll check now.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

The evening show reporting Caleta-Car on his way to West Ham apparently were the first to break Bakambu signing for Marseille a couple of weeks ago. Marseille fans seem disappointed in losing him, as they feel he has been good this season and a big reason for their defence being the best in the leag...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

One weekend to pull something out of the bag. Not sure why we are trying to loan DCC if we have scouted the guy for a couple of years now. Marseille want a sale and it's only £15m. We either think he's good enough or we don't. Unless loaning the CB gives room for the purchase of the striker. Problem...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

Diop may have lost his way but there's a player in there methinks. Still fairly young his case is not helped by playing on the left side of the CH pairing. If Dawson is deemed the more accomplished defender by the manager surely he should play the left sided role. The contempt and derision he gets ...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

Not sure if it’s been mentioned but Brentford are in for Lewis-Potter after failing in their pursuit for the Forest player.. It’s a shame this is the position we probably need the least in the squad. Ideal sort of signing we should make. Looked really promising in the Cup against Everton. Seen comm...

Why on Earth would Newcastle want Diop? He’s completely wrong for them.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

Bayo's highlight video is amazing in how bad it makes him look. Toblerone foot, it appears he couldn't trap a bag of cement. All this drama to end up with that guy would be so anti-climactic.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

Any rational club would not sell Diop given the completions we’re in unless they had a replacement ready to go, especially with the time left in the window and injuries. Add to that my view that every club should refuse to deal with Newcastle. But there is part of me that thinks the combination of ...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

If you were trying to spin the lack of Cabral positively, it would be that we didn't get him because Moyes has bigger plans at the position, and the rumours of club record numbers to solve that position were true. It's why a part of me thought the DCL gossip could have some legs to it. Given how lon...

https://www.bwfc.co.uk/news/2022/january/politic-loan-spell-ended/ :newthumb: Good to know that it can technically happen. I assume based on all the gossip of bidding clubs, that Southampton don't have an option/first refusal and Chelsea have the ability to recall him in the event of a sale, like t...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

westhamfans.org say they're sure we're going to move for Broja before the deadline. They reckon to have a source at Chelsea. This is the best striker we could get that is realistically available, in my opinion. I'd be interested to know if there is a precedent for it though. A player on loan at one...

Is it just me (probably)? I haven't seen one, not one, player in this window and on this thread that is a) probably available and b) I think would add value to our squad. Not one!

Perhaps, just me then :chin:

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

I'm surprised nobody has moved on Attila Szalai. I liked the look of him for Hungary in the Euros, and he had a good rep already going into that tournament. Left-sided CB and supposedly available for £17m.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

I dont know that brinkmanship works well for anyone though AH, many a club been left with a disgruntled player whose application and value plummets as a result of a move not coming off. I agree mate. Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

Cabral going to Fiorentina for 14.5m euros. There are so many good players out there that you can safely assume are available. Fabio Carvalho Keane Lewis-Potter Boubacar Kamara Attila Szalai is a great shout, I'd have him in heartbeat I'd rather have Carvalho and/or Lewis-Potter than Lingard if I'm ...
