Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

If we set aside the natural animosity towards Sullivan (difficult I agree) but if you were he this Monday morning having seen your team/business humiliated over the last 5-6 weeks and customers well pissed off in spite of paying him eye watering wages and giving him a 'decent' budget to spend as he ...

I tend not to let things like this get to me Doc, but it does follow a usual pattern for good or ill. If I was Pellegrini I would be be getting the Saga Cruises brochure out and looking at long winter breaks.

Re: Are we signing the right calibre of players?

I often think we get what we deserve. We (the supporters generally) demanded attractive football after years of 'pragmatic' porridge. So out we go and recruit a Manager known for that and he buys/sells pretty much to achieve that. Trouble is, football is still (thankfully) mostly about fitness, hard...

Re: David Sullivan - Has he taken us as far as he can ?

We had 6 consecutive seasons in the top flight before they pitched up and relegated us by appointing Grant. I wouldn't take this one as read. Selfishness defines Sullivan. He came here to make money, sold our ground to make money and has moved us into an unfit for purpose stadium for money. His own...

Re: Mark Noble - West Ham Legend

As I said last week, it is heart-breaking to see. Balls easily knocked round him, poor positional play, ball watching, (very) poor passing and then suffering the ignominy of being hooked at half time. No idea of the what/why's etc. but at the moment I feel he needs some time off to look for his mojo...

Re: Roberto Jimenez

I would be more concerned if our poor form were all down to him, but it is not. To be fair to him he has pulled off some stunning saves in matches we could have lost by considerably more (Everton & Newcastle). With Fabianski in goal would we really have won our last 4 games? Don't get me wrong, I wo...

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

Sullivan, of course, doesn’t sack his managers. He undermines them one way or another. He’s had 6 of them so far. Let’s not play the little ***** game. Who signed the contracts? No sorry Doc, I'm not having that. Yes Sullivan has a lot to answer for but Pellegrini has taken the coin (millions of co...

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Newcastle United: Match thread (2/11)

That was embarrassing. Indeed, for me, it was very nearly the worst home performance I have witnessed in over 50 years. It was so bad, it was farcical. I can't even pick out a player who I would exonerate or blame they were ALL that poor. Lets not piss around here, we have good players playing badly...

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Newcastle United: Match thread (2/11)

Our owners don’t give a ****, the manager doesn’t give a ****, why should the players? We are designed to be a club that makes money for the owners. Moneyball signings, safety first cup side decisions with the main instructions to not get injured and a manager who should have retired two years ago ...

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

I have aways been one of his staunchest supporters but some of his decisions in the laat month or so are real head scratchers I think he is finding this situation very difficult and doesn't really know what to do about it He is paid more then handsomely to 'know' what to do about it. Its his team, ...

Re: Mark Noble - West Ham Legend

Noble cant be the only scapegoat surely , Haller was abysmal today , truly abysmal . I agree, Haller was poo. However, with Noble its so sad to see. Last 3 games he has added no value at all and we look to our captain to inspire. To see teams just knock the ball around him, misplaced passes, missed...

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Sheffield United: Match thread (26/10)

Questions: 1) Why are we so crap at our throw ins? 2) Why do we set up so many chances for the opposition from our corners? 3) Why do we take a quick free kick, have 6 passes then pass it back to our keeper? 4) Whats happened to Mark Noble? 5) Why doesnt Haller run the channel's ? 6) Why have we onl...

Re: ⚽ Everton v West Ham United: Match Thread

It really doesn't matter who we did or didn't buy when the team sent out (whoever they are) show little desire, intensity or balls to get in their opponents faces and show that they are up for the game. That surely has to be the number one priority before team and individual performance. If Pellegri...

I thought Mark was one of our better performers today.

It was a blow for the when Noble plays well, West Ham play well theory though.
I usually support him and he has been one of our better players this season. But today? IMHO, very, very poor.

I agree. He may have been poo today but he doesn't hide, tries stuff (even if not good) and seems to put the effort in. More than most of our team.

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

Rice is being hung out to dry, Crouchie. Our players got caught in possession 20 times today and whenever they rolled forward Rice was essentially there with the back 4 hoping to hold the fort. Noble, Fornals, Lanzini were awful. Part of the reason for that is that they shouldn't all be on the pitc...

Re: ⚽ Everton v West Ham United: Match Thread

A complete lack of intensity, desire, etc. concerns me. If you are not up for it and at it you are going to give poor performances. The amount of sloppy passing, lost 50/50 tackles etc. during todays game is evidence of that and its becoming a habit. This is down to the Manager, to make sure his tea...

Nobody biting on my Tony Henry comment ?

Is it a little to close to home ?

Do people feel it was thoroughly investigated, and everyone involved identified ?
Obviously not Mr P. Unfortunately, like most social media, everyone shouting with nobody listening.
