Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions
I have mentioned in either this thread or another, that I have heard that the moving of supporters was to create an exclusive area behind the goal, which would be linked to a bar area under the big screen, I notice that the diagram posted by War Pony Shows a bar area behind the stand under the scree...

It's a possibility, they've already had one stadium blown up.

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Newcastle United: Match thread (12/9)
Evening Standard mentioned planned protests at this game, is this true? Also someone I know who works for security at the stadium has said that the game could be moved to an 8pm kick off for t.v.

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions
They needn't worry about moving seats, if they even get games up and running, there will be no crowds till they get infections down to zero or there is a cure, no way they can have 60,000 attending, the social distance queues to get through security checks would go back to Upton Park.

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions
Coops I travel to the stadium via Pudding mill lane on a regular basis and have had no problems, the smallest queue for the security search too, i don't go back that way because the barrier at the away section prevents it, so as we are in the Bobby Moore end the quickest way back is via Stratford in...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions
I have to laugh that 3 seasons in, and folk are still trying to find a route home with less than a 20min hike to Stratford station, I hope these are not the same people who said a reason for moving was the awful queues at Upton Park station, but were unwilling to walk to either Plaistow or East Ham ...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions
Topman I think you will find more and more supporters are becoming despondent regarding the stadium, without being told to stay away or support another team, these are the kind of comments those of us endured while being critical of the move, instead of flippant remarks about not supporting our team...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions
That's 21 defeats in competitive home games at the Bowl of contention, don't think this place will ever be a stadium teams think will be hard to come and get a result, most teams are building up a better record there than us, as for the atmosphere it's getting worse, the last two games against Spurs...

Hopefully plenty of Adrenaline tonight, with 50,000 + tickets sold, i'm hoping for a game and atmosphere the same as the Chelsea cup game.

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions
All this nonsense about digging down, knocking it down and starting again or moving to a purpose built stadium is all delusional, it ain't happening! Not in most of our lifetimes, almost a billion pounds as been invested and wasted on this dogs dinner of a stadium, and no one wants to spend anymore....

Falkirkiron There is a Wetherspoons The Thomas Frost on Walton rd, it is about 15mins walk to the ground and always has a mix of home and away fans, get a train from the town centre to Kirkdale or jump in a taxi, or Arkles by Anfield and walk across the park, plenty of away fan friendly pubs in the ...

3rd season in and I still feel like I'm going to a neutral venue and not a home game, for me 19 wins and 20 defeats in all competitions seems to confirm how I feel.

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions
Clawhammer You are wrong that the Emirates is comparable size to the London stadium, it is for seating capacity, but for size the London stadium is far bigger, you can almost fit the Emirates in the lower tier of the London stadium, there lies the problem, huge gaps between the stands and pitch, eve...
