Re: January transfer window

I have heard it from an ITP, with good connections to the club, that having failed with our offers of £10m upfront and endless add ons for Dendoncker, Sullivan has turned his attention to Galatasaray's Islaim Deddonki. Apparently Deddonki's ears pricked up when he heard that a Premier League club wa...

Re: A £20 million plus striker: The summer transfer thread

If the owners are waiting it out for Bacca, I for one do not see this as a problem. The player is waiting it out for a bigger club or a better offer, so what? Why hold that against him? Clubs work their way through a list of players that they want. If the first choice doesn't want to sign the club m...

Re: A £20 million plus striker: The summer transfer thread

Have people really already forgotten how long the Payet transfer dragged on last year? And all the reports of how he didn't want to come but Marseille were desperately trying to sell him against his wishes while he prayed someone else would come in for him? It was less than a year ago! Maybe it wil...

Re: England v Iceland....

For me a player should earn the right to play for his or her country. What did Wilshere do this season to deserve a call up? We have seen the same scenario time and time again and it has cost us, as players like Rooney and Beckham, try to regain match fitness during competitive tournament finals. Th...

Re: England v Iceland....

Here we go with the old overpaid not caring routine. Really? I saw no evidence of that in any game during this campaign. It's so easy to throw that out, according to the FA guy they don't get paid as it goes to charity. I genuinely believe they cared, and they tried. Just poor leadership and lack o...

Re: Hodgson: let's see if his no Hammers policy is vindicated.

On another note:

Billy Smart's circus's clown sadly passed away today. The late Billy's daughter said "we have some pretty big shoes to fill .... have you got Woy Hodgson's mobile number? I understand he is looking for work"

Re: England v Iceland....

Reading back thought these posts and remembering back over a number of tournaments isn't it clear that the managers are just a small part of the problem. To me it is obvious that England's player lack technique first and foremost. I still hear pundits and managers banging on about moving into space ...

Re: England v Iceland....

This was a team that by luck avoided Portugal and so they thought to themselves 'we are through to the quarters.' Woy himself gave that impression. Super Slaven warned about it, Iceland are a good defensive unit and they actually played a lot of this game with 2 up top, so they were probably a bit m...

Re: England v Iceland....

Most of all a manager has to motivate and inspire, especially when things look bad. And as soon as the second Iceland goal went in Roy just looked lost. It reminds me of the last days of Allardyce sat slumped on the bench chewing gum. Maybe Hodgson knew he was gone anyway. But if a player looked ov...

Re: England v Iceland....

I agree with most of that except he didn't even pick his best players. Wilshire, Sturridge, Rose? We also changed 6 players from the last game sand 5 before that so how can any team evolve? They looked like 11 players who were randomly dumped on a pitch and told to play, 5 minutes before the game. ...

Re: England v Iceland....

A lot of the blame must lie at The FA's and Greg Dykes door. Dyke keeps parting on about building a team that will win the World Cup in 2022. We should be picking the best team that we can for each tournament. As others have said many times we continually pick the 11, 22 or 24 best players and try t...

Re: 23rd June 2016 European Union Leave/Remain Referendum thread

I'm an entrepreneurial type. I've imported and exported products all over the world including Europe. I'm not a racist bigot or little Englander. I'm educated, pro business and a natural Tory. No one duped me into voting out. Immigration is not my bugbear, it's about Brussels and a political elite ...

Re: 23rd June 2016 European Union Leave/Remain Referendum thread

As a thick, ignorant, small minded, racist failure, I must congratulate the Remainer's on running a campaign based on such smears about ordinary citizens that had a right to vote and were sneered at in just that fashion. Your posts and their campaign highlights just what is wrong with the elitist's ...

You're right. Apologies to decent clowns.I meant like those poncey, posey, French clowns. It is funny you should say that. We recently saw a French clown and he did a lot of playing with his knob and making a provocative hip thrusting movement. And that was a show for kids :D That is the sole reaso...

Re: 23rd June 2016 European Union Leave/Remain Referendum thread

Scotland should have voted out when they had the chance a couple of years ago and I'll be happy for them to get another chance to go. The EU have acted like clowns. They are the reason the UK voted out. I have seen some very good clowns. This lot aren't fit to lace the boots of Charlie Cairoli or K...
