Re: US Presidential Election 2024

I do also think that maybe if the Democrats had picked a candidate of substance to parachute in rather than someone who had the personality of a plank of wood, who waffled aimlessly followed by lunatic style cackling. As opposed to a rapist and convicted felon who thought it hilarious to simulate f...

Re: Late David Gold, Sullivan and Brady

There is a degree of truth in what you say there but rebuilkding the East Stand and adding, what, 10,000 to the capacity of Upton Park would, imo, have been a mistake. The transport infrastructure around Upton Park as everyone knows was woefully inadequate to deal with 25,0o00o fans, never mind the...

If we're looking for conspiracy theories, wouldn't it be enough to mention they (as in "the club") will be counting the votes?

No. If it's live it's included in any search operation. Glad to note the issue has resolved itself.

Re: Ads on this site

Don’t disagree, but I can’t actually use the site. I note you've managed to post three times in this thread alone. Unfortunately advertising is necessary because the vast majority of our readers don't participate in our other revenue-generating schemes. Such as https://www.kumb.com/forum/viewtopic....

I lost 50% of my tomato crop - the other plant drowned [ should have put holes in the bottom of the pot ] . Quite surprisingly, the three tomato plants remaining I moved indoors back in August to prevent them being afflicted by blight, as per the rest of our plants, are still producing new fruit. I...

For the record, this Forum has been active for 22 years (and its predecessor a couple more).

Re: Losing your Dad

Anyone who’s been through this’ advice greatly appreciated. We all deal with devastating loss in our own way I guess Nc, but I took comfort from reminiscing about things we did together and going back to some of the places involved. (FWIW I'm talking the local park, rather than the Caribbean!) One ...

Re: Nottingham Forest v West Ham Utd - match thread

Given the amount of eye-rolling caused by West Ham's collective ineptitude today, I think I spent more time looking at this than the pitch.

Re: Nottingham Forest v West Ham Utd - match thread

Fair play to the Forest fans today - they had great fun at our expense. A chorus of "say hello to Millwall" was followed by "One song, you've only got one song." West Ham fans respond with the "Ludo" ditty. "Two songs, you've only got two songs," Forest retort...

Re: ✍️ Welcome to West Ham Utd Julen Lopetegui.

Three wins in the League out of ten, two of which were spawny and could quite easily have gone the other way. He appears to have little idea of his best starting XI - and pretty much each and every one he's picked so far has required adjusting due to shortcomings. His substitutions are often left fi...

And that's saying a lot coming from you, generally the last bastion of positivity. I'm sorry you and Rio had to sit through that. Our away fans didn't deserve that. Fairly shocking stuff, Pete. I've seen Grant's name mentioned in recent posts. I understand where those posters are coming from in lik...

On the train contemplating why I bothered turning up today - as the team didn't. Only highlight was bumping into Rio unexpectedly.

The less said about Lopetegui, probably the better for now.
