Re: Liverpool v West Ham United: match thread
I disagree with your ranking of potential trophies. You deal with the hand you have, playing an out of form and rotated Liverpool was our easiest route to a cup semi final. The quality in the europa league is far superior to when we was in it a couple years ago, I don’t think it is an easy route. We...

Re: West Ham Utd vs Everton: match thread
In my opinion it was a copy of the performance against Sheffield United at home, no urgency slow and predictable build up. We are toothless when we have a lot of the ball, only that day we were playing real inferior opposition. I don't think Moyes had a clue what formation to play in the end, playin...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
The only thing that worries me is that we still don't seem to create that many chances, and are so reliant on the set plays. We did however against Freiburg, was a bit of a different game but we did create some clear cut chances. Hopefully we can use that type of lineup against Everton and Moyes can...

Also only just realised this forum existed, but thanks to Swindon Iron for the tickets to Chelsea, cracking view from the seats and of course a top result.

Re: Summer 2023/24 Transfer Thread
Apart from Palmer we really shouldn't be taking players off City for positions we don't necessarily need. We need a striker and pace in the forward areas next, and we will need the cash from the Paqueta sale rather than players.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
I just don't know how he can get himself out of this, it does look as though he will be gone at the end of the season and it is what needs to happen. The fact of the matter is the team is devoid of any confidence at the moment, and they look bewildered at the type of football they are attempting to ...

Echoing what everyone has said, the football is absolutely woeful - it says something when our out ball is to play a diagonal to Bowen when a player is within 5 yards of him.

Cannot believe what I am watching today, absolutely woeful At home we couldn't lay a glove on them, we have just gifted this team 6 points this season with them not even getting out of second gear. Absolutely shocking performance.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
It's tricky but the bottom line is we have been poor for nearly a year now, since after that Liverpool home game last season. Yeah we haven't had luck this season, but as others have mentioned his stubbornness is proving to be his downfall right now. Playing players out of position, being too loyal ...

Re: ⚽ West Ham United vs AFC Bournemouth: match thread
I think we played alright, disagreed with Downes in the more advanced role but was still neat and tidy without affecting the game in an attacking way. Echoing what people have said, my real concern is our lack of good chances from open play, too reliant on set pieces. Bowen who I thought played well...

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Eintracht Frankfurt: match thread
Thought it was a good game to watch, no play acting as we saw with Lyon and as people have mentioned 2 good teams giving it a go. I also agree the pressure is on them next week, at home with a lead which hopefully plays into our hands. They are definitely there for the taking, we just need to sharpe...

https://twitter.com/BadSportsRefs/status/1323482708702646272 Shocking call, how they picked up the flag there is just insane. The officiating has been on a downward spiral for a few years now, but can't remember a time where so many big decisions have been missed like this with the game on the line...

I don't get it, we are selling players to buy other players.. makes sense, but who are we going to use this money from Grady on?

Re: Coronavirus
Personally i am finding this phase of the 'lock-down' harder mentally than the more strict early part. Back then there was always a finite end point so you were always thinking "ah at least it will be a bit better in June - i can stick it out till then". Now i just want pre Covid-19 life ...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC
Just can't understand why Ngakia hasn't been seen since the liverpool game, not that it would have made much difference last night but Zabaleta needs to be nowhere near the bench. We have a habit over the past few years to blood youngsters in these big *no risk* games then never see them again, Ngak...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC
The gameplan moyes had last night was to soak pressure and nick a draw. You can't do this against the real good teams, as they are inevitably going to score - then once were a goal down, then we try and play abit of football. In games like last night, attack is the best form of defense - and if the ...

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Arsenal :Match thread (9/12)
Just can't believe what I've seen, in control arsenal literally gifting us the ball to go and win the game and now we're 3-1 down - manager has to go, we should have really taken the game to them this second half especially.

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager
For me there just seems to be an inevitability about our play at the moment - slow build up, try to work the flanks (without putting a cross in) then if that doesn't work go backwards. As others have mentioned, too many safe passes and we have no one in the side currently who can stretch the play. T...

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager
I don't take this finish 6th malarkey, the odds are so against us finishing 6th - it just isn't going to happen. This reminds me of when we lost to astra - we won't have the depth to compete in the europa league so it's best we are out. We have to start living in the now and try and win a trophy, an...

Re: ⚽ Aston Villa v West Ham United: Match Thread
Echoing what most have already said, a good point in the circumstances - although if we did have 11 men on the pitch for the full 90 I would have been a bit disappointed with a point as Villa were not good at all. We defended well which is a positive, and unbeaten on the road so far is positive. Onl...
