Re: Crystal Palace vs West Ham Utd: match thread

I daren't read that Holmesdale thread, lest it make me remember why I hate Crystal Palace Football Club so much. With such a vitriol I'd liken it to a notch above Millwall - but with the ability to forget quite quickly due to their Nigel-like tendencies. Brothers on the other side of the wall they a...

Re: Leicester City v West Ham Utd: match thread

Crap end to a hard-fought game... Leicester are better than people are giving them credit for, much like ourselves at the moment. Always hurts to go out, especially in that manner, but brought it on ourselves by not adapting to their tactics. Would have been properly bothered about this if it was th...

Re: Manchester City v West Ham United: Match Thread

Well done - I could also feel it, same as the Liverpool game so stuck a tenner (and another bookie, so another free bet) on it. Made my heart work though!!! Superb West Ham, think this has to be the best I've seen us play in my lifetime (yeah, was alive for Boys of '86 but too young to really take n...

Re: West Ham ordered to reveal details of Olympic Stadium deal i

I don't often venture onto these parts since a lot of this stuff is like King Canute trying to hold back the tide. I was a little enraged to hear that even our Scouse and Manc friends have hopped on the bandwagon though. From: http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/arsenal-chelsea-and-tottenham-fa...

Re: West Ham Utd v Newcastle Utd: Match Thread

Definitely a selection headache between the sticks... I don't know, but I think it'd be awfully harsh to drop Randolph after 2 clean sheets.

Great result, Kouyate is a beast, Payet is sheer class, Moses is going to be a beast as well. Sakho doesn't stop. Exciting times gentlemen!

Re: West Ham Utd v Newcastle Utd: Match Thread

Longer studs required for the second half... Really unlucky for Ogbonna, hope he's not out too long. Cracking goal from Payet. Still look vulnerable though losing the ball outside our own 18-yard box. Another goal will do, since Newcastle will grab one at some point. No more than that though I recko...

Re: Official Betting Thread

Can only sympathise but them's the breaks with modern technology and online bookies. They've analysed your account in real time and realised you're a bad risk to them. Game over. Get your money out and move on. The modern-day equivalent of being chucked out of the casino. I'm too much of a mug punte...

Re: West Ham Utd v AFC Bournemouth: match thread

I'm not ready to say we're heading for a relegation battle, but that was one unexpected win followed by two unexpected defeats. My old man would say "You have to win your home games" and he is right. We're not doing that, so instead of testing the reflexes of my knees, I'll try my best to give a pos...

Haven't even bothered going out for a salmon during the interval. Slumped in my chair shell-shocked. Please, at least try and be at the races this half West Ham. :crest:

Re: West Ham Utd v AFC Bournemouth: match thread

Who was it that posted "Convert Cresswell into a winger"?

Take a bow Sir. You are spot on, and I'd put Ogbonna on the left and play Tomkins in the centre (or have him at right back if Jenko can get his **** together and go for tugboat Jim).

Re: West Ham Utd v AFC Bournemouth: match thread

Awful truly awful I fear for us this season because after Song joins all we got to look forward to is a washed up journeyman on a free or a young unproven foreign striker on loan. Why did we spend £8m on a defender who isn't even as good as Tomkins? Inflation... bang average Championship players goi...

I'll be the first to **** off Nolan but today, he's done nothing wrong in relation to his role in the hole behind Sakho.

No actually, I said they were an average pair before the season kicked off. I looked like a **** after the arsenal game having said that Now I don't know...... I agree - I knew we were going to be lumbered with Bilic, but you can look at my posting history regarding him. We're on the same side here...

Re: West Ham Utd v AFC Bournemouth: match thread

On the back of a sh*t display for England U'21's and commiting his future to Arsenal we go and take the cheap option of having him on loan again, dogsh*t Termination clause anyone? Don't care if we've spunked 2 mill on the loan, free up the wages... of course it doesn't work like that, but that has...

Re: West Ham Utd v AFC Bournemouth: match thread

Yeah can't see what that will do seeing as they're the two individuals that organised them for the first half. It's all well and good getting your mates in but when they've only coached at the level of Grays Athletic it's a huge gamble when you're a debutant Premier League Manager with an average c...
