Re: ⚽ Everton v West Ham United: Match Thread

Have we ever won back to back league games at Everton?

I suspect we'll score but lose 3-1

Re: ⚽ Everton v West Ham United: Match Thread

I didn't bother with the forums after the Palace game as I didn't fancy slitting my wrists.

So Palace winning was down to Anderson? I really must have watched a different game.

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Crystal Palace: Match Thread

Like always, if the fans and team believe we'll win comfortably, it'll all go wrong and Palace will stroll home 3-0.

A tough game against a team that will be well organised and tough to break down. 0-0

Re: 1978-79 season revisited

After the Nott's County game, I was convinced we'd stroll back to Div 1... Just slowly lost contact with the top 3.

I did nearly crash the car on my final driving lesson, when I heard about Phil Parkes...

Re: Proving Their Doubters Wrong

Some people like to have a hate figure or two that can be blamed for bad results. All of those you mention and Masuaku have fitted that bracket, amongst the current playing staff but it's always been that way. It's been mentioned in other threads how Geoff Pike was a regular target for the boo boys....

Re: ⚽ AFC Bournemouth v West Ham United: Match Thread

Unbeaten away (league) run continues. Sounds like a reasonable performance and a valuable point.

Up to third until Arsenal and Leicester go back ahead of us.

Re: 30 times in 49 years: that joke isn't funny anymore

Actually better than I thought.

It really did start with the Swindon game though. I was allowed to stay up late and watch the highlights that night. Made a special effort not to see the score before hand; an eight year old Arlhe cried himself to sleep. I should have learned my lesson....

I think the lynch squad will have to manage without me.

It happened regularly under Ron Greenwood and John Lyall too.

Re: ⚽Oxford United v West Ham United: LC R3 Match Thread

Quite a relief that loading pages has been so difficult.

3-0 and just about the biggest thrashing we've endured from a lower league side.

Can't say I'm surprised.

As it just says he'll be making cameo appearances until the new year, I don't think anything has changed. We all know he can't do a full 90 mins.
