Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

David Moyes needs to go. Should have never been appointed. The geezer is a tactical dinosaur that still thinks it’s the 1970s, the entire game plan consists of playing long balls constantly to an isolated striker, completely bypassing any midfield play. He needs to go! No innovation, no ideas, no p...

Re: Sheffield United v West Ham United: Match Thread

Just got back to my daughter's. We were the better side first half, they were better in the second. No way did they 'deserve' a win but football is b*llocks and it ain't the first or last time I'll feel this pissed off

Re: Sheffield United v West Ham United: Match Thread

It's West Ham, away, up north, on a cold winter's night. I doubt the Lord God Almighty could get us a win in those circumstances so I doubt share any cautious optimism.

My first away game in a while so I'll enjoy a few beers and good company.

Re: RIP Fred Wickert aged 87

God bless and Rest In Peace, Fred.

With my mum passing away just before Xmas, it's one less person around that would remember seeing us in the late 40's and early fifties. Still got many of my dad's programmes from those days. I'm going on Friday and will drop a momento off on his seat.

It was 1964 when the Essex Boroughs of East Ham and West Ham were merged into the new London Borough of Newham.

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions

Having read Wembley's very informative post, why would anyone think the stadium could be sold for £600M? Seems like it's value to a new owner is less than zero.

Re: Gillingham v West Ham United: FAC3 Match Thread

3 big centre halves ate up all of the balls lobbed into the box and that was the extent of Gillingham's ideas for scoring a goal. Moyes got it right and we won comfortably. I thought Antonio signalled he'd hurt himself at the end of the Leicester game but stayed on as we'd already used three subs. I...

Re: Rob Rensenbrink and Anderlecht '76

Disbelief. I couldn't believe it when we went 3-2 down, I was certain we were going to win it.

I was young but should have known, even as a 17 year old, what supporting West Ham was about.

I'll be giving any new manager my wholehearted support for the rest of the season at least. Absolutely no point in getting on his case early doors.

I reserve the right to change that opinion if we appoint Pullis...

Why on earth was Lanzini brought on?

Changed the game, as we list the energy from Fornals.

Well played, Roberto at least.

I got prime for this. With Roberto in goal I can't watch.

The good news is it's a free trial... The outlook is now depressing.

Re: KUMB Player of the Decade [POLL]

Voting on the basis of best for the particular season. Of course, on that basis, there is only one winner. That last season at Upton Park was the best for thirty years and one man shone on top of that delightful Christmas tree. Had I voted for who has been our best player over ten years then Nobes f...
