Re: Ticket office login

What a surprise, it won't let me log in! I signed up for the new account, clicked the activation link and after going on the ticket website and trying to log in, it doesn't recognise my details. I emailed supporter services, who got back to me rather quickly. Sadly, my pain has been compounded by t...

Re: Protests against the board being planned

I’m not sure the mentioning of Bill Gardener’s name on this thread is helpful, in regards to this protest. I doubt that all supporters would consider him to be ‘Mr West Ham’ and although some may be encouraged by his support, there may be others who would be very wary of his involvement. I thought t...

Re: Buying A New Television - 2 -

You got a good deal at £824, I can only find it at £949, even in Richer sounds. Maybe they have all put their prices up, so they can ‘cut’ them again for Black Friday. Have you tried the sound without a sound bar or speakers? Our viewing habits sound similar to yourself, Sky/Virgin box for watching ...

Re: Watton, Norfolk

I’ve been living full time in Norwich for about 3 years now, we initially chose it, as it was close enough to get to easily from Essex for weekends away and seemed to have plenty going on to occupy us. We still really like it here. It has plenty of pubs, restaurants, cinemas and theatres, which give...

Re: The Golf Thread

There is a new version of that CONGU manual for January 2019 (sorry, don’t know how to link) that states that club handicaps no longer exist and all handicaps up to 54 are valid for competitions. That’s why I was assuming the 3 shots per hole. I started to look in the new manual to see how it dealt ...

Re: The Golf Thread

Is that still true, even though male golfers can now have a handicap of 54?
Would it not be 3 over each hole, is the most you can have, ie 3 shots on each of the 18 holes gives you a handicap of 54?
I don’t know, just guessing, as I have never bothered to get a handicap (golf club heresy, I know).

Re: Hertha Berlin vs West Ham Utd: match thread (31/7)

I enjoyed the football last season and it looks like this season will be more of the same, although maybe even better, as it looks to me like we have improved with our new signings and less injuries/sicknotes. It reminds me of when I was a kid and we were everybody's second team, we seemed to be on ...

Re: The Golf Thread

Mumbles, Theydon Bois is one of the better Essex clubs in my opinion. Looks short on the card, but is tree lined, so not necessarily a driver on every hole. Also a lot of doglegs so worth getting a course planner or gps to see the distances to the corners. I think it’s holes 15,16 & 17 that are acro...

Rory with my sort of start to a round.
Out of bounds with an iron off the tee and a penalty drop for unplayable by the green.
Missed putt.
8 on a par 4.
Do we write him off already?

Re: The Mental Health Thread - (Help Contacts in First Post).

I can’t speak for the people with depression, but I hate the good weather. I think that in the good weather everybody seems to be having fun and I don’t think they should, I think everybody should be sad and unhappy and I resent the fact that they are not. Whether they are actually having more fun i...

Re: England Cricket Summer 2019 ODI World Cup and Ashes

When I booked my tickets for the England v New Zealand match I was a bit concerned it might be a dead rubber as both teams would have already qualified. As a West Ham and England supporter, I really should know better! I’ve already started to look at other results to see how we can qualify with just...

Re: England Cricket Summer 2019 ODI World Cup and Ashes

Not sure I would go for a quick run rate, with two batsmen potentially out. Might be an idea to go nice and steady and avoid an England collapse. Guess we will know by who opens instead of Roy, if it’s Root (steady) or Butler (smash).

Anyone know when the dates are that the tv companies will start announcing the other games in August to be televised? At least I’ve been able to buy some ‘cheap’ train tickets for the 1st weekend!

Re: A thread to discuss depression and other mental issues...

I think having a hobby or playing a sport or something is maybe the best thing, as it’s ongoing, whereas I have found that with the short lived things like holidays, once they are over i just go back to the same mindset as I was in before. We even found when moving and doing up a house, that althoug...

These were the upgrade prices from 1966 seats they sent me in the email. The Academy Upgrade from your 1966 seat for £549 - just £25 per game*. The Boleyn Upgrade from your 1966 seat for £999 - just £45.60 per game*. *Cost per game based on 22 games including first three cup games. Please note that ...

Re: 18/19 Tv Fixtures - and other date and venue changes

These Saturday late kick off’s will make travelling home fun, as there are bus replacement services on Greater Anglia on both match days.
Mind you, it’s no surprise, as the bus replacement seems to be all weekends in Feb and March, when we are at home.
