Re: Summer Rebuild 2: Electric Boogaloo

I think it is the most important since the summer following the farewell to the Boleyn...and we all know how that ended up being a bunch of nonsense.

I think we better face it - we are not going to get one call to go our way this game.

Lose to Forest and Moyes has to go however I would like to remind everyone that Bowen should have buried that scoring chance within the first 5 minutes of the game yesterday.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

Are the players trying TOO hard now because of the lack of success? And Moyes hasn't sat them down to try and correct this? Antonio continues to try and be the model target forward where he was successful at in the past. However teams are covering him up well & he is older and lost a little of p...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

The fact is though 1 point from our last 7 league games is shocking and relegation form. And if something does not change we will be bang in a relegation fight. Our league performance for -14 months now- has been shocking and I believe someone has pointed out that our whole 2022 league performance ...

Re: ⚽ Manchester United vs West Ham United: match thread

Honestly if I was a fan of either team here, I would be disgusted.
As I am a fan of the team currently losing without even a shot on goal 60 minutes in, I am disgusted and angry.

Man United isn't even playing well - other teams would be killing them today.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

Are not Moyes' tactics a bit limited by having to have the left forward spend most of their time (and energy) covering for the left back's defensive deficiencies - and likewise on the right? People keep going on about how modern full backs have to cover the entire length of the field (off & def)...

Crosses, corners & shots were all horrible today. Otherwise it's a clean sheet and a point away from home.

That was a shocking first half from Antonio. Misplayed passes, ball bouncing off him and throwing himself to the ground twice.

Re: Match #51 THE FINAL England v Italy. (8pm, Sunday 11th July)

Is there something behind the fact that the England team to a man removed their 2nd place medals within seconds of receiving them? I know it is disappointing to lose and most were quite emotional.

Re: Welcome Jesse Lingard

Somewhere in the past 1358 posts, this may have been mentioned, but during the Leicester game I said to myself "I haven't seen a performance like this at WHU since Payet". Lingard, especially during first-halfs, is like a man-possessed and his shots are lethal.

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

Any ideas why we don't try goal kicks or route 1 to Souček? It seems we target Haller like he is Antonio, but isn't Souček one of our best aerial talents? Haller did have one or two controls yesterday as a target man, but often times he just fails. Souček was hardly on the ball all game (ok, yeah he...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

An Everton supporting friend says Moyes is a great manager. He'll give you stability, effort and at times some decent football and you wont get relegated. However, don't expect to win any trophies. From the short time he has been here, I disagree with this. I think with Moyes we will be closer to w...

Re: ⚽ Liverpool v West Ham Utd: match thread

This team clearly functions best with a mobile, energetic and robust centre forward with good movement. Haller is the antithesis of that. He's Maiga, Chamakh or Carroll, when we need Sakho, Antonio or Arnautovic. Getting a more suitable option to Antonio must be the biggest priority of the January ...

I don't usually comment about refereeing, but Taylor and company are having a laugh.
Where was the penalty? The replay didn't show City getting the ball before cutting Antonio down.
Where was the yellow on the pullback? Are you kidding me?
Wow.
