Re: ⚽ West Ham United vs Tottenham Hotspur: match thread
I've obviously missed something. Why isn't Scamacca on the bench?

Re: ✍ Gianluca Scamacca
His ball to Benrahma, when Cornet ought to have scored, was top class.

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2022.
We obviously don't know how all these signings will work out, but on the face of things dare I say it, looking like one of our best ever transfer windows?
They really look like signings who could push us to the next level...ignoring the shocking start to the season!

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2022.
I am quietly confident Scamacca would be a great signing. 23 years old, 16 goals in Serie A last season, 6'5. For such a small club by top tier standards, Sassuolo seem to have contributed a disproportionately large amount of players to the national team over the past couple of years; Scamacca, Bern...

Re: Jesse Lingard
Good signing for them, but I really hope he flops there. Which I think he may well do. A year older, even more time without playing regularly, and won't have the quality of Rice etc. around him to give him the freedom he wants. Hopefully big fish mentality will also come through and mess things up. ...

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2022.
I've never seen Pellegrini play.
Sounds like a player who looked promising (hence the Italy cap a few years ago and fairly high fee paid) but hasn't progressed as much as hoped.
Still young and I expect he'll be an upgrade on what we have if it goes though.

Re: Summer Holidays
Can anyone tell me the best way to get from Rome to Sorrento, without a car (car rental just seems two expensive)?
Is a train via Naples the best way?
Thanks

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2022.
We and bigger clubs have been linked with Belotti for years. Any idea why he hasn't moved on already? To be fair, I don't recall ever seeing him play for Torino. However I've seen him play quite a few times for Italy and never seen him do anything. That Dennis at Watford looks quite lively and has a...

Re: Russian invasion of Ukraine
I appreciate sanctions against Russia and supplying Ukraine with weapons is probably the best we can do without starting World War 3.
Sitting back and watching a sovereign nation on our continent being invaded just doesn't feel right however.
Ah well.

Re: Jesse Lingard
Not sure I want to get into that, however some of the negativity before he joined about his goal celebrations, what he wore, his social media was frankly outrageous. I may not have seen the same stuff as you, but I took it as people just thinking it was all a bit immature for a 29 year old, and per...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window
Ignoring for a moment the fans' views, I do wonder how the players will feel about this window? For those who are 'untouchable' i.e. Rice, I imagine he'll see it as a total lack of ambition and be keener than ever to move on. Zouma and Fab/Areola would also have no doubt wanted a strong centre back ...

At this late stage, I wouldn't criticise them any further for letting Jack choose a random cheap 'prospect' he finds on Football Manager....

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window
Obviously far too late, but Real are apparently letting Luka Jovic leave on loan, with Everton interested.
I'm surprised this isn't yet another we've been linked with this window. There were some rumours not long ago.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window
Never seen this Nunez play.
Seems he's struggled a bit at Benfica previously with injuries and form, but been on fire this season and is currently the league's top goalscorer.
Sounds promising if it actually happens, but injury problems and memories of Haller

Re: ⚽ Manchester Utd vs West Ham Utd: match thread
We were still going for the win, 94th minute away at Old Trafford and got caught out.
In hindsight, ought to have sat back, but these things happen. Doesn't make it any more palatable however.

Re: ⚽ Manchester Utd vs West Ham Utd: match thread
I think we've looked ok on the counter, but still haven't looked like scoring.
Overall however, away at Man Utd, it could be far worse.

Re: Declan Rice
I'm finally starting to hear non-West Ham fans (inc. Spurs fans!) talking about how good he is.
Six months or so ago it was constantly "Overrated", "Over priced", "Don't know what he adds", "can't believe he's starting for England" etc.
