Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

I wonder how much money we still owe to other clubs for players signed in the past 18 months ? I wonder whether our wage bill has really shrunk to the extent many seem to believe it has ? If only the club ould publish the accounts for the 2018/19 season we might have a better idea. What is Sullivan...

Re: David Sullivan - Has he taken us as far as he can ?

Read on another site that the club needs £40million to stay afloat next season. So that's no new players Sale of other assets Seems pretty clear he needs to invest in assets (players now) in order to maintain the value of the club. Sounds harsh but it's like repainting your house before selling it....

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

Guys Let's get some perspective here. Pelle allowed sales of players expecting the money to strengthen ... funds were withheld by our owners .. DM was a priority but when Obiang went we had no cover. Money was not spent on 2 targets. Pelle is sacked, and injuries escalate. Moyes is between a rock an...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

Just don’t understand the Moyes sympathisers at all. Any excuse not to criticise him. Honest Questions, for those that see him as the football management messiah: 1. What do you like about his style of play 2. Why do you think he is most likely to keep us up 3. Why is he the best man for the job 4....

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

Let's be frank, Pelle had lost the dressing room, right bloke wrong time. Moyes has come in, steadied the ship for 3 games then as per the Everton and Burnley games we see our achilles heal. Moyes is the only manager who would have taken the job I suspect, so credit him for looking at the appalling ...

Re: How much do you care about relegation?

Issue about going down is money, nothing else. Parachute and champ TV money barely reaches 45m quid. We have trimmed our wage bill but still pay above average wages to mediocre players which means we will be largely giving away our better players, being forced to buy champ players on lower wages and...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Forget Payet, it's all dwarf BS You can play whatever formation you like but without decent pace all over the park teams that do have that pace will ultimately win more games. If you look at the most important aspects of the game - closing down, we close down rarely, slowly and by pressing slowly al...

Re: Leicester City v West Ham United: Match Thread

The only way we wil get anything from tonight is being ultra defensive and limited numbers being utilised on the break. However if Moyes has done his homework on Leicester he would have seen the way to get at them is to press high up the pitch with 2 up top as their back 4 really lack confidence whe...

Re: Leicester City v West Ham United: Match Thread

I reckon the team will be fairly identical to that played at the weekend, not because it was a great result but because we have **** all in the cupboard. Noble and Snods will I guarantee you play poorly because they are knackered and in the last 30 minutes we will run out of steam and concede a coup...

Re: David Sullivan - Has he taken us as far as he can ?

Gold's also just done TalkSport. When I asked Sullivan for an interview in October, he said he didn't speak to the media any more. With regards to Ken Dyer's piece in the Standard, it's a shame he didn't push Sullivan to explain why he believes "the club is in a far better state than it was 10 year...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Diop is a complete mystery to me at the moment on several levels. I'm surprised that so many people are against selling him for £££, when you also consider most people think our defence is crap and Diop is currently deemed not even good enough to get in that team. I'm also surprised that Spurs, Che...

Re: David Sullivan - Has he taken us as far as he can ?

Just seen the article regarding Everton's new ground. Moshiri has put in 350m quid of his own money in shareholder loans INTEREST FREE WITH NO REPAYMENT DATE ..... and the club's net debt has been reduced to 9.2m because of this equity injection. So despite making record losses on player transfers, ...

Re: David Sullivan - Has he taken us as far as he can ?

Even with a realistic low ball acquisition amount of 200m quid (which is what most financial experts say the club is worth) Sullivan would have doubled his initial outlay over 10 years whilst milking 7% in interest on his shareholder loans during 7 years of those 10 and 4% for the remainder, so he w...

Re: Preston north end and David moyes

I made the point on the other thread about our lack of investment in the scouting department. We had 5 scouts under Pelle, and 2 were his son and Hussilos's, who have both now left. Moyes had a third party study done and in all aspects the club is a shambles, if you recall the dwarf said when he hir...

Re: Mark Noble - West Ham Legend

Noble is fine to have in the side where the opposition are slow in transition like Bournemouth were but faced with any form of athleticism he can't cope and is made to look foolish. His general play was . very poor Friday, he lost the ball 13 times in the first half, that is far too many for someone...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

We've only played two league games under Moyes, one of which was a 4-0 victory? Prior to Moyes, we were also going through games with very few shots. In fact, our ineffectual attacking play has been one of our clearest downfalls this season. I honestly feel so many people are so grounded in their op...

Re: Sheffield United v West Ham United: Match Thread

I think there are a lot of unbalanced views on here - more so on Moyes selection and tactics. I wasn't a lover of Moyes, but he has us playing with more intensity and desire, and at least sets the team up to both defend and attack. Last night should have been a draw, but wasn't - let's face it if so...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Everyone can relax re Fernandez.

Allen is purely a back up - ie way back in the queue, expect three signings provided the dwarf can get 'his' deals over the line.
