Re: Sobriety

Drinking followed by regret Can always stop drinking whenever I want but then eventually go back to any of the points above This TedX is quite old now but it's new to me. https://youtu.b...

^^^ that bloke looks more like the FA cup than the actual FA cup does.
He's even wearing the winners' ribbons.

Re: Need a new car
Its a 2009 Westfalia Marco Polo, full service history, only two owners and less than 60k miles on the clock. It looks mint. I've only ever bought bangers before, my last car cost me £350. Since the missus' second cancer diagnosis last year I've been viewing life a bit differently so I've cashed in a...

Re: Need a new car
Afternoon you lovely lot. I'm **** at buying cars so I'm after some advice please. I've seen a car I like but it's in Belfast. It's not really practical to go and view it beforehand so how should I go about buying it or negotiating a good price. I kind of feel once I'm on the plane I'm committed to ...

Re: Iberian Walks
I've done the Camino de Santiago, some of the Camino del norte and some of the Camino Primitivo It was an amazing experience, I met some beautiful souls and made memories for life. So many people with so many stories. For large parts of my walk I accompanied two Spanish brothers who were walking in ...

Oh for ****'s sake, you guys.
I came here for the briefest of brief lurks before turning in for the night and now I'm leaving with this ear worm.
I'm never getting to sleep tonight now.

Re: Little things that irritate you
Perhaps take a VitD supplement, Eggy. I'm sure another poster was giving this advice last year sometime. Since I've been on them I haven't had so much as a sniffle. Nothing. I take 4000iu with K2 to ensure proper obsorbtion. It's the best 8p a day, you'll ever spend! Well that post didn't age well....

Re: The Non Racist Crap Joke Thread
Three cats are competing in a swimming race. There's an american cat named "one two three", a german cat named "ein zwei drei", and a french cat named "un deux trois". The cats all swim across a lake, the american cat finishes first, the german cat finishes second, but ...

Re: Sobriety
Well I have and will continue to, complete today. I feel like dogshit, but I have resisted the temptation to go to the shop and get some to straighten me out. It's a start, and we all have to begin somewhere, right? Hey DL, if you find it difficult to navigate sobriety on your tod, then please take...

Most of Valentine's day for me was spent at my wife's grave.

Re: What’s in your Bits Drawer?
^^^^ The average Brit’s ‘ bits and bobs drawer ’ contains six batteries, three phone chargers, five ‘unspecified’ cables – and four takeaway menus. It’s also home to four mysterious keys with no known lock, six pens and pencils, and five instruction manuals. https://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/...

Difficult which thread but since this is a proper food thread I've treated myself to a six pack of Brains faggots in thick gravy for tonight with mash and maybe peas or beans or maybe not, for after the rugby. All just for me, Saturday night is DIY night in our house Haven't had them for years hope...
