Re: Reid misses another return

Might not be any consolation at this point but he goes down in West Ham history forever after that goal in the last game at Upton Park.

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Sheffield United: Match thread (26/10)

This lot don't have much quality imho although what they have is a system that they're comfortable with and players giving their all to the cause.

Alarm bells if we lose this one. Pellegrini needs to change it up.

Re: Pablo Fornals

He's clearly a talent, but he needs to play where he feels most comfortable. I think we've got a proper player on our hands. He'll definitely come good. And also, 21 years old isn't he? In a league that doesn't speak his language, away from home for the first time. It's not like signing an establish...

Re: January

The performance from Gomes yesterday was everything we were missing imo. Kick starting the attack and passing beyond players into space for the attackers to run on to. That could be Lanzini, or Fornals, or Noble but if they can't do it then we need to look at someone who can. Tough decisions need to...

Re: ⚽ Everton v West Ham United: Match Thread

Gomes ran the game yesterday, gutted we missed out on him in the summer.

Wasn't we linked with Tom Davies too? I thought he had a great game as well.

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

I think overall he's overseen a complete change in club culture and a type of play we want to try and achieve. And under this ownership, it's been a good job done so far. Yesterday was abysmal nonetheless, he doesn't seem to recognise that at Man City you can get away with playing the same players e...

Re: Czech Republic vs England

Gomez is coming back from injury, he'd have been in otherwise imo. Tomori has only just got going in the PL, his chance will come. I still think we need to go back to the 5 in defence, systems win international football tournaments, not individual skill. I reckon this may also be Barkley's last chan...

Re: Czech Republic vs England

Bit of an overreaction here. These results are best had now so we know what does and doesn't work when the euros come round.

Personally I'd throw Winks or even Foden in to try out. I'm also not entirely convinced we have the quality at the back to play with 2. I think we need 3 with wing backs.

Czech Republic vs England

Looking forward to this one tonight which should be a decent test. Still a lot of question marks for this England side at the back, should we play with a 2 or a 3 at the back? And who is going to stake their claim to be the creative spark in the middle? Rumours are that Mount will start tonight ahea...

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Manchester United: Match Thread

Haller Vs Maguire will be good to see, both excellent in the air. Against Villa Haller was isolated and not enough of our attacking players next to him to take the ball when he won the header. Lanzini needs to get closer if it's him in the no.10 position I reckon this will be an exciting score draw,...

Re: ⚽ Aston Villa v West Ham United: Match Thread

3 away games unbeaten this year which is a step in the right direction. If we can win these games in the reverse fixture, it will be a very good season. There was a bit of a backbone last night after going down to 10 which I haven't seen in a long while. Onwards and upwards.

Our attacking players, notably Lanzini, need to get closer to Haller. Too isolated at the moment unfortunately.

Re: Would you sell Declan Rice for £90m?

I think he has the ability to go on and captain Man United in a few years time. He'll be here for 2 seasons maximum imo.

I like this site. I've been banned by moderators before (my own doing) but it's a nice atmosphere here. Carry on what you're doing is all I'd say

Re: Bury FC: Dawson vs Dale (non WHU)

For the PL and EFL, it's a moral choice whether you say no to an individual wanting to buy a club promising the world. We said yes to Man City, we said yes to Chelsea and that culture feeds into the lower leagues. The only way to make the point is for a mass boycott of all 92 clubs on a certain week...

I don't think it was good enough and we have the quality to win these games now. Watford next week is already looking a must win if we want to compete for 7th. These are the games we now need to start moving away from being happy with a point.

On paper that's our strongest line up (as we know he won't drop Cresswell) and it deserves to be given a chance against beatable opposition.
I agree - we lose heavily again and that's when the questions should come
