Re: ⚽ West Ham v Southampton:Match thread (29/02)

This is the game that will determine if we stay up or not. If we lose through lack of effort and stupid mistakes the rot will set in.

Also need to cut the supply to Ings who I think is a very good finisher.

Would personally drop Anderson, start Fornals and go with the line up last night.

Re: ⚽ Liverpool v West Ham United:Match thread (24/02)

Just don't know what tonight will be like! Liverpool colleagues who gave me on of their tickets, I told them I can't make it! not sure if I even want to watch it on TV tonight, never thought I would get like this with a club I have been loyal to for 50 years plus. I'd have us down as an Audley Harr...

Re: Welcome (again), Darren Randolph

If, and I mean a very big if, this is true he should be sacked on the spot. No other punishment from the club needed.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin finally fulfilling his potential it seems
I assume he will be in the next England squad and offers a different option for the national team
Definitely a better player than Abraham, would be good to see what he can do in the next friendly.

Just saw the Bournemouth game, thought they played well and horrendously unlucky on VAR.

My whole opinion of David Moyes would change if he was actually Ironing Board.

Fancy a beer Dave?

I can see Wolves winning the Europa. Riding a wave of confidence from the players through to the fans.

Re: ⚽ Manchester City v West Ham United:Match thread (19/02)

Not sure what Haller will offer tonight, I'd start Antonio with Bowen on the left and Anderson on the right. At least we'll have a reasonable counter (if we get past the halfway line).

Re: The Relegation Rebuild & Casualties

Antonio can leave as well. No way he's going to be reliable in a league where 46 fixtures need to be played. Can barely count on him now.

Re: 2019/2020 Relegation Thread

I always felt that Grealish was all style and no substance but he's been very good for them this year. 1-1 I'd replace every single attacking player in our squad for him if we stayed up and they went down. Fantastic player who stands up and drags the team with him. Seems to have a bit of grit too, ...

Re: Man City (Non-WHU)

I wonder how many other teams in Europe and England who have been breaking the rules?

Applies to everyone, from City to the huge risk taking in the Championship. I want to see a few more charged before I believe Uefa have started to take a moral standpoint.

There's absolutely no way Diangana is going to conceive the thought of coming back if we drop. Defoe style transfer request incoming.

Bowen has a relegation release clause. Whether a Premier League club would pay the release fee is a different matter...
Unless he does a Demba Ba I think we'll be ok imo.

Re: The Relegation Rebuild & Casualties

I wouldn't keep anyone who's been here for more than 3 years where the culture of accepting failure and the bare minimum is engrained. That includes letting go of the likes of Noble, Cresswell etc. Accept that a huge rebuild is needed, appoint a director of football with a coach more in line with to...

Re: 2019/2020 Relegation Thread

The enthusiasm for our home games and picking up points is baffling. We've shown no evidence that we can beat the sides around us on our own patch. The Brighton and Newcastle games should show that.

I think those around us will quite fancy themselves coming to Stratford.

Re: Weekends other games 8th and 9th February

Obviously a draw would be the best result for us but maybe a Watford win not the end of the world as keeps Brighton down there. The more teams in the battle the better. I think Palace are still not out of it Palace will be fine for this year at least. They still have the individual brilliance that ...
