Re: Plastic fantastic

There's a reason there is a home end, and an away end. Bring your kid, knock yourself out, don't wear the opposing team's kit, and don't cheer. Have some respect for the building you're in and the people you are around. Agree with this. And also agree that abuse of children is just wrong and incomp...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

We’re not very good at defending, it’s bizarre the manager fails to see that and for me, that sub just doesn’t make sense. I can’t be bothered with being critical today though, Sunday afternoon games straight after Europa is something we struggle with for intensity usually, another point on the boar...

I said I'd have taken a point but the way this game has gone, it's really frustrating we're not coming away with 3 points.

That yellow card on Thursday makes me irrationally angry with him.

Re: West Ham United v Aston Villa: match thread (17.03.24)

The lack of intensity from both sides, and the fans sums up the Thursday-Sunday routine. I like how disciplined we've been and not allowing gaps in behind.

Hopefully we can see this one out.

Was it? He wanted to leave, City couldn't guarantee him a start every week that he was looking for. I think he made a brave decision to leave the security of where he was, fair play to him.

Re: West Ham United v Aston Villa: match thread (17.03.24)

Not a bad start to the game, I feel that both sides will settle in for a point the longer the game goes without a goal. Which I'd have taken before the start.

Re: West Ham United v Aston Villa: match thread (17.03.24)

It's hard to really care about this with the draw very soon.

I'd bring in Ings and Ward-Prowse, maybe Ageurd for Zouma, freshen things up a bit and give a well earned rest to a couple of others.

Re: The Cresswell Thread

He's not an idiot, he'll know the criticism that has come his way and the stigma associated with Frankfurt.

I'm pleased for him, I don't want Cresswell near the side when we start facing really tough opposition but just delighted he could banish some of those memories.

If we get Liverpool, I'd just hope we're at home 2nd leg. Having to go there and win would be incredibly tough.

Re: UEFA Europa League 2023-24

Forget getting to the final, our kit isn't ugly enough this season, nor do we have a kit where the colours have nothing to do with our history.

I think every side in the draw deserves respect. But if we draw Liverpool then so be it. And please, none of the “it’s fixed” crap if it happens.

Nearly home after a wonderful, brilliant, evening.

That David, THAT, is what we’ve been calling for. When we know we’re better than the other side, act like it.

Re: ✍ Welcome, Kalvin Phillips

He's been a fantastic player for England, and imo, him at 100% does compliment Rice and Bellingham in the middle.

Agree with the decision, but it's a real shame he's not at the level both we and England need.

Re: ✍ Welcome, Jarrod Bowen

Bowen named in the England squad. He really does need to impress with Palmer breathing down his neck. KP unsurprisingly out I think this summer, Bowen is the deputy for Saka, Palmer will fight it out with Foden/Rashford/Grealish and maybe Gordon. Watkins and Toney up top for Kane's position. Such a...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

I think there's something to say in giving up a large part of possession in games against sides with good players causes more opportunities and attacks coming at us, which in turn increases the chance of them getting through and scoring goals. But then in some games where we've had a lot of the ball...

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2024

I don't see any scenario where Paqueta agrees to ripping up the release clause if City are still sniffing around. I'd much rather focus on what we would do with the money and identify the right replacements.

Lot of talk about their bottle tonight, perhaps Arsenal are learning from past mistakes.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see them go all the way imo.
