Re: Pablo Fornals

He’s never really been given a chance has he, and is unlikely to under Moyes and whilst we are in a relegation scrap. A run in the side will give him a chance to get up with the rigours of the Prem and would be a key player ... a bit like Rice has. A total shame and I wouldn’t be surprised if he is ...

I bought 14 tonnes of tippex the other day.

It was a big mistake.

Gayfield, a great stadium, where any misjudged clearance could end up being blown all the way to Europe!

Re: ⚽ Manchester City v West Ham United:Match thread (19/02)

It’s a bit like watching the advancing floods ... you know the inevitable is going to happen and that any defence is going to cave in.

We are shockingly defensively set up - at the moment, all 10 outfield players are spread about 10 yards deep from Diop up to Snods, on the edge of our penalty area!

Re: Are our players as good as we think they are?

Like others have alluded to or said .... it’s all very well having good players but it is a good team that you need more .... Leicester, Sheff Utd, Wolves and Burnley are all examples of good teams. Aside from perhaps Leicester, I am not sure any of the other teams necessarily have better players th...

Re: Little things that irritate you

I know this has been on here before, but don't care. Manners. Or rather, lack of them. let a car out today in rush hour. He was turning right out of a side road on to a busy road, and I even held back the traffic. Not so much as a thank you. Stop at Zebra crossing. Not even a thank you. Held a door...

My friend wanted to be run over by a steam train.

He was chuffed to bits when it happened.

My friend has a butler who’s left hand is missing.

Serves him right.

Re: Trial seperation

Separated years ago when was told to sit down! I wasn't taking that from anyone, especially with my long legs. The occasional lapse took me back, but never felt completely at home anymore, either at UP and definitely not LS. Started watching local team Aldershot (where I was born), who are basicall...

Re: Knee injury

I totally understand where you are coming from about it doing your nut in! I am currently unable to run due to a trapped nerve in my back, and am getting really frustrated. However, if I do try to rush back too quickly, I am in danger of never running again ever - rather than this temporary period t...

Re: Six Nations Rugby thread

Not a game for lovers of free flowing rugby but interesting to watch and see how conditions can affect the game. On the number of kicks straight to touch, Farrell mentioned that the wind was unpredictable down at pitch level - in fact I am sure I saw the wind blowing into England’s faces during the ...

Re: Call the Heddlu !

I remember going to a pub in Brecon once and the locals couldn’t understand why we’d gone there and not down to the big city (Cardiff) - one lad told me that everything was great on a night out there ... the booze, the girls and the fighting!! I think he was a farmhand with no interest in football w...

I employ a Bletchley approved combination of options B to E, as I am such a key person with such a wealth of information on my phone and in my head that I just know Mr Big is desperate to get out of me.

Re: NFL Pick 'em pool 2017/18

I’ve been off work sick today so watched the game and thought it was a great match - nip and tuck until Q4 and possibly the 49ers were wary of the KC comebacks from the earlier post-season games. Deserved winners and some top performances across the field.

Re: Six Nations Rugby thread

It was a well deserved win for the French ... for once, they decided to turn up rather than shrug their shoulders and say in a ‘Allo ‘Allo accent ‘meh, I can’t be arsssed today’.

They played some wonderful rugby and I think they could be the dark horses for the title.

2 jump leads walk into a pub ... the barman says ‘I’ll serve you as long as you don’t start anything’.

Why did Humpty Dumpty push his girlfriend off the wall?
So he could see her crack.

Re: NFL Pick 'em pool 2017/18

I’ve always followed the 9ers, so will be rooting for them. However, Mahomes is such an enjoyable player to watch and the Chiefs have been the AFC team that I always keep an eye on. It’ll be close with the SF D-Fence having such a good season up against the attack of KC. However, I think Garoppolo w...
