Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

People really need to forget about “players for the future” right now. We are f*cked. We need to sort out the here and now. Let’s ensure Premiership survival which will be aided by experienced, tried and tested players and then look to a positive, sensible longer term strategy in the summer.

Re: West Ham United v Everton: Match Thread

I know people don't like him, and will.no doubt refer to the fact he hasn't done well at Sevilla, but if Hernandez had played 90% of games for us this season we would be about six points better off than we are now Why? He played games up top on his own for us and was crap despite some people preten...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Sticking to Stoke but away from Joe Allen, Badou Ndiaye looked decent for them, a bit Kouyate like with his legs from box to box and size. I also remember people praising the signing of Imbula who seems to have had a nomadic loan career for the last few years. I presume that’s because he never kicke...

Re: Are YOU happy at the Olympic/London Stadium?

I would say no but my reasoning probably extends to football as a whole. I am not happy with VAR. I am not happy with the lack of respect and thought to match going fans with constantly changing kick off times. I’m not happy with the chairman. I’m not happy with the continued sanitisation of the gam...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Some of that aligns with the owners - except that Moyes was spending more on championship players fifteen years ago than our owners are inclined to in 2020. Consider that Moyes spent £25m or so on Baines, Lescott, Jagielka, Neville and Yobo all by 2008. That's a more expensive defence than the one ...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Not sure how realistic it is but swapping Diop for Winks and Walker-Peters and then buying Rugani from Juve gets both us and Tottenham a lot of what we both need especially if they end up with Fernandes. Rugani is only a couple of years older than Diop and is solid, just having difficulty breaking ...

Re: Sheffield United v West Ham United: Match Thread

I don’t know if it’s because it’s fresh in my mind but it seems like we’ve had a lot of decisions go against us as a result of VAR. Is there a site that tracks this?

Re: Sheffield United v West Ham United: Match Thread

Well if the abomination that is VAR wasn’t in place then it would have been given so yes, it can be blamed.

Rice shouldn’t be waiting until the last 5 minutes of games to do that. He has it in his locker.

Re: Sheffield United v West Ham United: Match Thread

These are the types of games that Rice needs to step up a level, particularly with three centre backs behind him. He has a lot more to his game than he’s shown.

For the goal, Balbuena has to take some of the blame.

Re: Sheffield United v West Ham United: Match Thread

Arnie got most of the plaudits but Arthur was fantastic in this role in Moyes first spell. I expect more magic from him with the safety of Cresswell behind.

Re: Anybody watching leeds

They remind me of Arsenal about 10 years ago!

They needed to score in that half though. I think Arsenal will make them pay and still win this.

This isn't theoretical. We looked at all those factors, as a club, and decided to sell him.
At that point in time. Similarly, we’ve looked at all those factors now and decided to buy him.

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

I think the one thing Allen does is help us keep the ball better and find a forward pass to quicken the transition into attack. We are really poor at keeping possession. I’m not sure a small, possession based, quick passing centre midfielder was ever the best fit for Stoke and am not surprised by th...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Randolph is far superior to Roberto. He was a solid player for us and no matter how many silly screen shots people post that doesn’t change. People need to look outside of just his quality as a goalkeeper, particularly when you consider he’s going to be a number two. What sort of character is he? Wi...

I very much doubt it mate. Evertonians sung “there’s only one Leon Osman”. There was a reason for that.

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

Be interesting to see what he does with Rice as I’m sure he had him at centre half. Hopefully he gets a tune out of Arthur who was superb under him. I’d be up for him playing a three at the back with Cresswell the left of them like last time. I thought that worked well.

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Leicester City: Match thread (28/12)

As much as I like Rice and think he’s a top player it tells you everything that he was captain yesterday. We simply have no leaders. We’ve got a selection of players who can all play some nice football when the sun is shining, teams stand off and they’ve got a bit of confidence but when there’s an i...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions

So many fans are choosing to miss games or not bother at all - Sky & Premier League is one reason (and VAR not helping) but the stadium is the biggest factor - plus the toxic effect of the lies that took us here. This. There’s six of us and two of them have only been once this season. I’m not going...
