Is that true ?

I heard a net spend figure for Everton of £97m during his time there.
Koeman spent serious wedge before him.

Pickford, Keane, Gbamim, Richarlison, Iwobi, Sigurdsson, Bolasie, Tosun and Moise Kean are all £30 mill plus players.

Re: ⚽ Wolverhampton Wanderers v West Ham United: Match Thread

While I do agree that Wolves are a good side, I can’t say they were much cop last night and were there for the taking if we played with some quality. A lot of our passing and first touch was dreadful with little real urgency. It is in no way meant as a slight to Antonio but it’s concerning just how ...

Re: Andriy Yarmolenko

You read page 18 and then the above. It’s like chalk and cheese. Yarmolenko is a decent player with a wand of a left foot who gets goals and assists. He can and has worked hard, as evidenced by that super block against Man Utd (I think). He’s another in a long line of players struggling for confiden...

Who was the Villa keeper who conceded from a throw in.
Peter Enckleman.

The Brazilian Gomes was an utter car crash at Spurs and did well to rebuilt his career at Watford.

QPR were in the top league 6 or 7 years ago mate. Good ol’ Redknapp ruined them.

When we actually tried to make a go of it, we scored twice.
I’ve seen this a few times now but it doesn’t seem to take into account that the opposition put the handbrake on and reduce the intensity when 3-0 up. It’s easy to make a go of it or look better when the other team know the game is won.

We've gone from having a reserve goalie who has played this season in the Champions League to a farce.
Roberto has played in the Champions League too!

Re: West Ham United v Tottenham Hotspur: Match Thread 23/11/2019

It’s quite evident that the defence don’t trust the keeper however that shouldn’t mean they get away with their own woeful performances both as a collective and individuals. Ogbonna is the only one out of that back line who can come out the game with a semblance of credit. Fredericks lost the ball t...

Re: West Ham United v Tottenham Hotspur: Match Thread 23/11/2019

I can’t say I’m overly optimistic but hopefully people have a couple of shandies beforehand, get their singing voices out and back the boys rather than a negative murmur from the off. Hopefully Noble starts and puts in a heavy tackle early on to get it going on and off the pitch.

Re: weekend's other games

Bizarrely a lot of the players Wenger signed have worked out well Fabianski - Top keeper at Roma, now Juve number 1 Rene Adelaide - Big summer move to Lyon Malen - Gone on to make Dutch caps and still only 20 Bennacer - Milan Is it really that strange? Wenger was always the master at pulling a youn...

Re: January

last summer maybe but this season ? he can't seem to win a header. Diop 1.8 tackles (Masuaku 3.6) - 0.5 blocks (Oggie 1.5) - 1.8 interceptions (Rice 2.1) - Clearances 3.8 (Oggie 5.4) - Aerials 2.7 (Balbuena 5.2) he doesn't lead the team in any defensive category unfortunately - I know someone will ...

Re: VAR - yes or no ?

I'll be 56 years old on Wednesday. VAR is the single and biggest attack on the heart and soul of the game in all those years. It goes right to the heart of football and destroys it. And still, some people sit and defend the wrongful application of it rather than the destruction of the instant emoti...

Morelos has got to get a 30 mil move surely, doesn't stop scoring and goals asside great work ethic, a nightmare for defenders like an on form Diego Costa I put him forward as a target in the summer. I’ve only seen bits and bobs but he will run the channels all day and won’t give the defence a seco...

"Upper part of the table" So anywhere upwards from tenth, then? What's the problem with that? He said he wants to finish as high as possible, he hasn't said he wants to finish tenth? Tough crowd. There is no problem. It makes sense and is what you would expect. It’s just people like making a mounta...

He fits in with most of the others then! :D

I think Sanchez’s lack of quality is overplayed. I am surprised at how strong people’s views are considering how little game time he has had in our shirt.

Just have an horrible feeling that Pellegrini may play Sanchez. Then we will know that he's completely lost the plot.
Why? Most people are crying out for a dedicated defensive midfielder to play. I would play him alongside Rice and give Noble a rest.

VAR reached a new low in that game. Took far too long to do anything and that wasn't a red card, however bad the end result was
I thought it was bad enough yesterday with the Liverpool offside and the Watford penalty. Sadly there’s no going back now. :(

Re: Manuel Lanzini (New Contract Signed)

I'm amazed again at how quickly someone's stock changes. When he picked up that injury recently, I distinctly remember people saying how great he'd been so far this season, arguably our best player, and that he would be a big miss. I distinctly remember that because I said that at least we're well ...
