Re: Tourists

I really have no problem with anyone coming and watching us. I have been a tourist fan many times,Milan ,Rome ,Barcalona even when America I have been to see Orlando and when in LA we went to watch Galaxy play. I have been a tourist at ice hockey ,American football and baseball games when in the USA...

Re: Everybody’s second team

The best £2 I have spent for a long time.
The first thing about West Ham that made me smile for a long time.

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Crystal Palace: Match Thread

Some do not seem to be able to accept defeat, some suddenly think we are a side that can beat anybody ,where has this come from. We are a decent side and one that will get better but we are just one of many decent mid table teams. Palarse have one plan away from home and that is to spoil the game and...

Those windows above the roof look like were my head master Mr Challenor's office.

I know because me and a mate spent about 3 weeks in there after getting detention for fighting ( each other ) :D

I doubt it because that is the flats Priory Road side .

Re: Positivity Thread

I am feeling positive about the club as a whole, first team doing well ,u23 doing very well and academy also doing well. The club has got a good manager who believes in positive football ,the club has got a u23 manager who believes in the same philosophy and a DOF who seems to be able to spot a decen...

Surely that's the wrong picture to use,it's when the ball is played forward ,not when the ball is received by the player.

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Manchester United: Match Thread

Side note to the game,on the way home Sunday my 5 year old grandson left his beloved Bubbles the Bear on the 1722 C2C train back to Benfleet. Through Twitter my son got C2C to appeal for his return ,without any luck. Today West Ham Help got involved and tweeted that Bubbles had got the train back to...

Re: Bobby Moore

Without a shadow of doubt the greatest English defender ever. Not only treated badly by West Ham but by English football and the country as a whole. How could the only English man to lift the World Cup not be knighted ,when you look at some of the people that have it makes my blood boil. He wiped hi...

Re: Lawrie Leslie

Lawrie was the goalkeeper when I first went to West Ham,he was a very brave keeper . I was at the Bolton game in November 1962 when Lawrie broke his leg ,which basically finished his West Ham career ,we brought in Jim Standen as a replacement and although he came back towards the end of the season h...

Re: England Versus Bulgaria

Rice is certainly international class for the role he plays. Trouble is, for England to get to the next level, they need someone of the Modric, De Jong type playing in front of the back four. Someone who can orchestrate and is very very good on the ball and can defence into attack in an instant. I ...

Re: ⚽ Newport County v West Ham United: FL Cup Match Thread

A PL side claiming to have aspirations for Europe should be thumping teams like Newport. If our supposed 2nd 11 isn't good enough to do that, then they really are not good enough full stop. . Perhaps someone should have told Man City ,Spurs and Leicester City who have all struggled there over the l...

I was there and it defiantly was not us.
I think it was them having a go at the ref for not making Anderson go off the pitch at his nearest point to.

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

Just let him get on with the job,he makes choices of selection that I do not agree with but so did managers like Greenwood and Lyle but like those two his intention is to play open attacking football ,it was what I was brought up on and after suffering some negative managers recently I am behind him.

Re: ⚽ Watford v West Ham Utd: match thread

Watching MOTD, for the penalty Lanzini went down clutching his face, but on the replays I could see no contact with it. Yes he was bodychecked on his left side but even on the second replay, when I was looking for it, I could see no contact with his face. Glad it wasnt just me who noticed that. No ...
