Re: The next gig you're going to

Last night was The Hives at Hammersmith - pretty damn good show, would have been even better if I'd got there earlier and been part of the mayhem further torward.

Next up: The Warning in 2 weeks

Re: Bayer Leverkusen v West Ham Utd Europa QF 1st leg match thread

It's not ...

Re: Superhero ( & sci-fi / other relevant) films

4th series of The Boys is due out with a triple opening episode on 13th June.

5th series (and possibly last) series is rumoured to be filming this autumn, probably with Gen V series 2 around the same time

Re: Wolverhampton Wanderers v West Ham United - match thread

All that's irrelevant anyway. As if whether he could have saved it or not. The guy was obstructing the goalkeeper (Fab even stumbled as the player backed into him) so a blatant offside. This is the key point - how can Gary O'Neil, Gary Lineker, Ian Wright, Dion Dublin and half the Wolves support no...

My mate , Gwil and I being chased out of this field by a ram when out fishing in the countryside near Cemaes - Gwil turned round and tried scaring it with his rod while I sat on the wall laughing my socks off . A welshman getting his rod out when encountering a sheep - are you sure it's "scari...

If Fabianski moves, so does the player.

Top of the agenda for me at the moment is to give this a listen - Ignore This by Dead Pony : https://labrecords.bandcamp.com/album/ignore-this Tremendous new-ish band, saw them twice last year and would see them again next week if I wasn't already going to see The Hives the next day - 2 gigs in 2 da...

I did - it was ****ing stupid - he could have taken the ball down and scored and 2 seconds later the fake head injury could have been investigated

Re: Stopping the cheating

The infuriating thing in all this is that the advent of multiple cameras and VAR finally gives the opportunity to clamp down on the cheating and it's just not being done. There no reason that decisions can't retroactively be reviewed and the likes of Gordon's cheating, or the umpteen fake "head...

5th Matrix movie has just been announced, which may or may not include Keanu Reeves.

After the godawful 4th one, I'm not exactly holding my breath for this one

Re: West Ham Utd v Tottenham: match thread

It was interesting to see Pacqueta barge (someone or other) off the ball on the edge of the penalty area, which very little attempt to play the ball, and not be penalised - very similar to the "challenge" on Kudus against the barcodes. Apparently this is a legitimate challenge, rather than...

Re: Newcastle Utd v West Ham Utd - Match Thread

Dermot says: "He's unfortunate but he does kick him and it's a foul. Gordon is clever and gets in front of him. The referee has to give a penalty." Imho , I think Dermot is very similar to the VAR officials and are easily conned by players. How can so many others 'see' things differently ...

Re: Newcastle Utd v West Ham Utd - Match Thread

That ref has to be the best signing Newcastle have ever made.

That's now 10 or 12 points we've been absolutely robbed by terrible penalty decisions - we'd be 4th or 5th, with winning momentum, instead of scrabbling around mid-table

How the **** can you blame Philips for that? It's one of the worst pen decisions I've ever seen
