Re: Blackburn Rovers V West Ham United Match thread

Here's a little video compiled by my son (who was Trevor Morley's Breadknife, for those who remember). Sorry about the advert but it's worth waiting for.

We've got Payet!

Re: what pub have you been in today ? Rate it out of 10

The Mitre, Buckingham. 9.5/10

Five well kept ales, five TVs, cheerful and entertaining West Ham supporting landlord. Best pub in town.

But then I do own the place.

Re: West Ham branded celebrities

Anybody mentioned Len Goodman yet? Apparently a lifelong fan even though he voted off Pixie Lott on Strictly last season.

Re: West Ham United v. FC Astra - Match Thread

I know I get depressive about these things, but my money's on 1-0 to Astra or 0-0 meaning we go out. After the struggle we had last week away I can't see a win.

<Sigh>

The OS says only comments and updates will be given online tonight. It's back to Radio London for a commentary by the look of it.

Re: West Ham v Everton Replay Live on BT Sport

Think we did at home v Aldershot in early 90s in the cup - although technically I think we were the away team and it was a venue swap :?
Quite right - they swapped to the Boleyn in January 1991 as they had very limited capacity and they appreciated the gate money. We won 6-1.

Better that than the confrontational mess that happens now. Give them a proper way to resolve a problem and calm everyone down.

PS thanks Sicknote, quite right.

Re: Blatter and the goal line technology debate

We don't need extra technology on the pitch. There is sufficient hardware already recording every Premier, Championship, Cup and international match, and all we need is a fourth or fifth official who is watching the same coverage that we are at home. A quick discussion on the radio and the ref is mu...

They are, in fact, over-vuvuzealous.

Fate has seen the charismatic Diamanti chose the same No 32 shirt as the Argentine, though only because it is the date of his wife's birthday.
32nd of which month? :eh:

A few thoughts after a great night in the best atmosphere for many years (in a second round Carling Cup match, let's not forget) We dont know the repercussions yet, but if it turns away players, investors then congratulations mugs. The regrettable 'pitch invasion' by 50 or so idiots aside, last nigh...

And i use Footyonline.tv as well never let me down  Aren't Sky missing a trick here - if they offered this service on a reasonable charging basis I reckon we'd all pay for it and get better quality (not that it's bad now or so I've been told ;o) ) - this 3pm nonsense has got to stop. Brilliant day out yesterday, all credit to us for creating the atmosphere, we outsung them at every turn . . . and the funniest banter I've heard in a long while.

Although we got messed about a bit at the end, I think the police handled the exit calmly and well, so thanks to them too.

Pardon my mirth, but the idea that the FA and PL need us to belittle their authority just makes me break out in uncontrollable laughter. They have shot themselves in the foot repeatedly over this matter, hence the latest "Investigation". Maybe I phrased that badly, I wasn't saying that WE were beli...
