Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

It’s a crude measurement that does not tell the whole story, especially in the modern game. Even the likes of Fergie would struggle to win silverware in this era without one of the top teams due to the concentration of talent. Granted it doesn't tell the story you want tell... a story where the bes...

Also St Mirren and Aberdeen, where he broke Old Firm dominance and won a Cup Winners Cup.

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

The kind of forum we'd like to be... I know it’s all about opinions and each to there own, but not wanting a certain manager because of his style of play or because he once scored against us in a cup final in my view is irrelevant, but I reiterate it’s just my view so not knocking anyone else’s. I j...

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

Good point! Perhaps they would then. He'd managed countries and Champions League clubs though. Gerrard has been managing in the SPL for a year and a half, I can't see it myself. Well yeah..appoint someone with no Prem experience...maybs appoint Gerrard... no thanks. I really f**king hate him, FA Cu...

I'd be surprised if the midget would ever go for someone with no Premier League managerial experience.
They've done it before with Bilic.

I'm a 100% behind Pellegrini... although if Ogbonna doesn't play in the next game it's absolutely time for him to go.

Re: January

Its thinking like that, from those in charge, why we keep finding ourselves in this position most seasons. We need to add energy in midfield, not another statue. Yup... Try and sign big name players... have to offer them big wages and long contracts to get them to come... They work for a bit then w...

Hasn't Pellegrini come out and said we need to be calm and show unity...

That'll be a red rag to a bull for those who feel more shouting is what's needed.

Also, despite managing Real Madrid and Man City, all Pelligrini has to show for his time is two league cups and a Premier League. Claudio Ranieri has a better record.
This is just a laughable attempt at criticism.

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

Sullivans Transfer policy is very similar to what the Tories have done with Police numbers... Cut 21,000 Police Jobs one year then make a song and dance about investing in 20,000 new jobs a few years later. Under invest, under invest, spend a bit and then point to that spending whenever you are accu...

Re: Welcome, Sebastien Haller

it is true he gets no service but he could try running shouting demanding the ball a bit. looks like he cant be arsed whilst he picks up his 100k a week. play yarmolenko or Antonio up top and see if he moves a bit more ! We had both Arnautovic and Carroll up top...get bored and start charging aroun...

Yes Valon Behrami. The lad who played tonnes of champions league football and completely nullified Neymar at the last World Cup. I’ve gotta say if you don’t think he did much for us you can’t have been watching properly he was outstanding in the middle of the park. He was decent, and has done well ...

Re: 2019/2020 Relegation Thread

It's the fixtures that are the problem for me. We're bottom five and we've had a relatively comfortable first third of the season fixture wise. We're now heading into a set of games against sides much better than the ones we've already been failing to beat/been embarrassed by. If Burnley and Newcas...

Rather have this game than another bottom half team

Crowd should be up for the game and we've usually faired better against the top 6 than the rest of the league.

Onwards and sideways as Pelligrinis men favour!! :crest:

Re: Are we signing the right calibre of players?

It might just be a coincidence, I don't know however, looking at the picture in this link, it looks as though there may be a split in the camp. In the training photo, we have Noble, Snodgrass, Cresswell, Fredericks, Rice all training together. Could it be that the foreign lads train together and th...

I feel like Lanzini is the fall guy here.

Anderson can't be bothered,
I wonder if the reason Anderson gets so much criticism is because he's alway on the ball and therefore visible - so you can see him having bad game.

Lanzini just goes missing for large parts of the game.
