Re: Macclesfield (non WHU)

Watch out Southend! Regarding him possibly walking out of the court. He has previous for "walking out" remembering our 3-2 win at Highbury. Southend's relegation should be his last job in football but of course we all know it won't be.

Re: Cresswell or Masuaku?

Agree there Irving. Wing back or left side midfield I think would be Arthurs best position. Left back certainly is not. Cresswell and Arthur in tandem, I like that. But what do I know!

Re: Hillsborough

My last word on this matter: The Liverpudlians were perfectly happy with the jury system when Ken Dodd and Stevie Gerrard were cleared at the crown court. The Liverpool crown court I might add. Now it appears they are not. "The judge was biased" was one ridiculous comment I heard on the TV. This wil...

Re: Hillsborough

Regardless of the inquest verdict a jury trial is totally different. We have a jury system in this country and like it or not twelve citizens heard all the evidence and came to the conclusion that Duckenfield was not guilty. He was supposed to be the sacrificial lamb to appease the grieving relative...

Re: Who Next? The odds

e17 you're gonna get your wish. For sure. Also have a short DVD of the Sunderland hammering. Wish I knew how to put it on here! And yes it was a near post handball that beat Montgomery, not sure he punched it but he was going for the header and it hit his hand first!

Re: Positivity Thread

Yes the girls were one up v Reading. Then Reading had a straight red and the girls went two up. Then they conceded three and got beat! Saw the highlights on the red button and it seems they are in the same mess that we are!!! :(

Wilder is a Blade through and through. We might as well approach Sean Bean. This is getting ridiculous.

Yeah Redknapp and his fairy stories. Can't believe it took so long to mention Magic Marco! The Pony logo on his shirt says it all!!!

Re: Ben Johnson

Take your point BostonHammer. It'd have to be a loan as surely we can't risk Haller and Ajeti after Xmas.
As many have said an injury to Haller and we'd be up the creek without a paddle. Got to be potential loans out there somewhere so it's down to Pelly to find one.

Reckon there may well be another striker signed in January so Ajeti and Silva will be probably move down in the pecking order.

Re: VAR - yes or no ?

You have to admit VAR ruling out the Gooner's winner v Palace was hilarious after all the celebrations. Gawd knows how they found a foul in the build-up though. VAR suiting Palace at the moment with their winner v us. The Zaha penalty v the Gooners and the disallowed Gooners winner. We're stuck with...

Re: Going nowhere, going through the motions, going at all?

After reading all of this I'm glad I called it a day on that in May 2016. Of course I couldn't have known what we were walking into and tbh it was getting too much for me at my age. The travelling, the walking to and from the ground, and standing throughout the match. It was leaving me shattered. So...

Impressive it was last night. Stoke had a experienced team out and the Holland/Powell/Scully combination took them apart. Reid? Sorry but forgotten poor old Winston!

Re: West Ham Utd Daily News & Gossip

Perhaps the Mancs would like to do us over again like they did with Ince? Remember they claimed Ince had some sort of knee problem and would not pay a transfer fee. We ended up getting five grand every match he played for five years. Hardly missed a game. Knee injury, what knee injury! We should tel...

Re: 1978-79 season revisited

Yes Pop left and then we won the FA cup next season! He'd done the same in 1974 and we won the FA cup the following season as well! Poor old Pop. I was Old Bill and was at the 4-1 at Luton as a spectator. I never policed a Luton/West Ham game ever. As soon as the fixtures came out I made sure they c...

Re: Reid misses another return

What can the guy do? We gave him a six-year contract and surely no-one would be daft enough to say OK I don't want to rip you off anymore. After all no-one else would give him a deal. Like someone said THAT goal is what I'll remember him for. Bloody unlucky and that's a fact. Good luck Winston.
