Re: UEFA Nations League

Can't stand Rafa Nadal so gave that a miss. Watched a bit when Thiem won the second set but then he got steam rollered Can I just ask you why you can't stand Rafa? I was not his biggest fan in his early days, but I appreciate him massively now. He never complains or searches for excuses, came back ...

Re: Boa Morte (non WHU)

Boa was pretty poor for us but one thing you can’t take away from him was he’s effort always gave 100%. Loved he’s goal against Man City after returning from a bad injury. I was pleased when we signed him he was decent at Fulham and was there skipper, We’ve had a lot worse players than him What abo...

Re: Boa Morte (non WHU)

The stick he's getting from some fans is absolutely ridiculous. Of course he's not one of the players to remember as a gem, but he defenately played some good games as well. He did his best. And, importantly, he played a vital part in our Great Escape in 2007. Still the best and most emotional 10 ga...

Re: Week's other games (4-10/05/19)

I've just seen the clip of Rio jumping about when Spurs scored the winner. Any thoughts by anyone that he may have been a West Ham supporter go straight out of the window. He would be torn apart by the most in the UK if he didn't celebrate that or would swear to dead. So I don't think you can take ...

Re: Week's other games (4-10/05/19)

On a side note: Moussa Dembele must be kicking himself going to China this summer instead of staying for a few months. Even if we was on the bench.

Re: Week's other games (4-10/05/19)

Well, the only thing that can make up for this if Tottenham lose the final in the same matter we did in 2006.

But to spare my nerves & heart, I guess a 4-0 smashing of the noth London ***** will do as well.

So we didn't deserve it to win the Cup in 2006 as well because we blew a 2-0 & 3-2 lead?

Re: Weekends other games (04/05/19)

I have no doubt there is corruption in the game, but I find the bleating about decisions to be silly. Officials make mistakes, and as I said there is an in-built bias toward the big teams. It’s the path of least resistance to give decisions that the media are less likely to criticize you for, which...

Re: Weekends other games (04/05/19)

Oh come on. Are you honestly suggesting he was paid to miss that chance to let Man City win the league? Could it not be, instead, that a striker who has been crap at finishing for a couple of season now just fluffed an opportunity? Man City and especially Liverpool have had quite a few decisions go...

Re: Weekends other games (04/05/19)

City will put four or five past Brighton now that relegation is all settled. Brighton will be relaxed and they will play a more expansive style than they would if they needed something. City will pick them off for fun. I also think Wolves will scrape a draw at home to Liverpool. I remember a certai...

Don't think any player could compete with this.
Correct.

And he could've easily been beaten by Un-Nooh or Ding in the first or second round.

Re: Snooker

Ronnie potted that last black, yes. But there was another moment somewhere in China where he purposely potted a pink instead of a black when he was on 13 blacks or something. So he ended up on a 146. Correction, it was the Welsh Open https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=we4dxs8FqBE" onclick="window.open...

Re: Snooker

I will ask her. :D Didn't Bingham make a 147 this season and the prize was just £500 Remember when O'Sullivan needed just to pot the last black, asked the ref what the prize money was and when the ref said there isn't one, O'sullivan decided not to pot the final black. Thankfully the ref had a word...

Re: Snooker

Higgins will not be rolling over, that's for sure. The 'advantage' Higgins has now, is that he has nothing to lose. He will play without any fear or stress. He will play like he would on a practice table, so I expect his A game. But that will not determine the end result. Even if Higgins brings his ...

Re: Snooker

I can see where the dislike for Trump comes from, but when I hear interviews from Judd I think he's okay. Anyway, if you look at the break in frame 4 today and the speed of it, you just have to appreciate his A game. Trump's A game is up there with Ronnie's A game. I can't name any other player comi...

Re: Snooker

The only worse setup of the final for me would've been Higgins vs Selby, like it was 2 years ago. :thdn: Still such a shame Gilbert couldn't progress. Would've made a pleasant look for the final and I would not have written him off to win it either against Trump. It all depends which game Trump come...

I guess so, think he will destroy Trump.

I'm not really a fan of Trump, but I hope he can beat Higgins anyway.

Re: Snooker

He seems to get flukes and the run of the ball more than any other player I can recall. Gilbert has started to let the nerves affect him and is missing pots he wasn't doing earlier. 13-11. 2 frame lead but I still cant see past Higgins. Thing is even though he is winning, Trump is not looking to sh...
