Re: Carabao Cup quarter final draw (live)
Did some research. We got 15 draws against 'big 6' sides in the past 8 years. So 15 in 15 domestic cup participations. We played 30 games in those 15 cup 'runs', so that's 1 in 2. (9 away from home too)

Re: Summer 2023/24 Transfer Thread
Nice! Shame you didn’t mention Boniface or Orban back in June. You could’ve memed it into reality. Instead you mentioned Orban yesterday for the first time as far as I can see from a quick browse. Who cares what I mention where and when? It's not like anyone from the club will put in a bid because ...

Re: Summer 2023/24 Transfer Thread
Sounds like you’re in the wrong job. You’re posting on a forum at midnight when clearly you should be employed by Tim as our head scout. Maybe you could share your crystal ball sounds very useful. Well to be honest I work as a data scout in the Belgian league since 2008 and watch 4 to 5 games a wee...

Re: Summer 2023/24 Transfer Thread
He would have been perfect in our system as well. That's exactly my point. You won't get a better like for like replacement for Antonio. He would be able to come into the side as back up for Mickey in the beginning of the seadon and I'm pretty confident he would've been first choice by the end of i...

Re: Summer 2023/24 Transfer Thread
Orban and Boniface are better than David and Osimhen? Ok bro 😂😂😂 Orban so good that not a single club took him. We really must be muppets. 🙄 NOT YET. They will be in 2 years time. Have you seen both of them play? Or just Or an in those 2 games against us? Did you see David and Osimhen play in the B...

Re: Summer 2023/24 Transfer Thread
Orban is 5ft tall and built like a matchstick. Boniface scored 9 league goals in Belgium last season - not exactly prolific. Yes good start, but pretty risky for 20m euros and would never have started here ahead of Antonio so it’s not worth entertaining it as a missed option. Well..... Orban is 2 i...

Re: Summer 2023/24 Transfer Thread
We should go in for Gift Orban from Gent. We would be able to get him for £25M. Some sort of a 'gamble' but it's the exact type of players we should be aiming for. Not a bigger gamble than Scamacca as the PL will suit Orban more than it will Scamacca. He would be perfect to be back up to Antonio wit...

He gave us a pretty hard time up there.....Mind he's only 21 years old.bubbles1966 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 11, 2023 10:15 am I didn't think he lived up to the hype at all when he played against us.
It's exactly the kind of player we should be looking at instead of paying over the odds for PL players who are mostly past it. (Ings for example)

That lot dominated Wimbledon for 20 years to be fair. Nobody else has won it other than those four since 2002. But yeah, Murray was an incredible player but just not quite at the other three's level. He must be well happy with his four (I think?) majors. Hardest era to get them in. If you include M...

If we should go for a goalkeeper, we should get Verbruggen from Anderlecht. He's a great talent, only 20 years old and proving world class potential. Brighton are believed to sign him for something like 15 million.

Re: Favourite West Ham match ever you were at - But that we didn't win
May 2004 Last game of the season before the play offs. Wigan away, 1-1. Think Wigan need to win to make the playoffs Not so much the game but the West Ham crowd was huge, remember a 'convoy' of stretch limos and a party bus turning up in the car park. Was there too, great away day. We had 9000 hamm...

Re: Favourite West Ham match ever you were at - But that we didn't win
The Palermo away game. It was a pretty dull game and never really got in it because we lost the first game. But just proud to be there and had a lunatic day/5 days over there. Getting attacked the night before on the square, getting on those police busses with 300 other Hammers, not knowing if we wo...

Re: Moyes to stay. confirmed via BBC Sport
Abridged your comment fro brevity. Why does it have to end in failure? He stayed the course at Everton, whose owners stuck by him when things took a downturn, much like the West Ham board did. He left for the 'big job' but sadly that didn't work out for him. It could go either way, but he may build...

Well it doesn't get any better for Moyes than this, does it?
I bet the 'Moyes out' shouts come out again if we're not in or around top 6.

Re: Declan Rice
These days Lukaku looks about as mobile as Kurt Zouma in a straitjacket. I mean, he'd still score four goals a season against us, obviously, but not sure where his Premier League goals would come from if he wasn't playing us. I'm absolutely no Lukaku fan. I don't like his personality. But Lukaku is...

Re: Moyes to stay. confirmed via BBC Sport
It's an odd one isn't it. I have the feeling the spark has gone out of this team the last 14 months. Maybe our win last week and some new incomings can flare up affairs, but I honestly doubt it. It will be hard for Moyes to reproduce the same kind of season ending as well, unless we win the Europa L...

Re: Europa Conference League 22-23
I can see Juventus winning this next year and the competition continuing to gain status and acclaim. It would then be Tottenham, Leicester and Villa who would have failed to win it from our country. I would usually not mind seeing another traditional English club win it but after looking through th...

Re: last minute goals
For drama, we really should be talking about stoppage time goals. I had to look it up but the Vaz Te goal actually came three mins from the end but that was then followed by 4 mins of stoppage time. And of course 8 mins stoppage time followed Bowens goal last week. In that case: I think there were ...
