Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Crystal Palace: Match Thread

Antonio is a massive miss. On a day like today we look to the bench and we see more of what we already have on the field, rather than something different.

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Crystal Palace: Match Thread

What legs have Noble apparently lost? He never had any when he was 18. It's like saying Sheringham lost a yard of pace; we're not talking about the demise of Michael Owen here.

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Crystal Palace: Match Thread

We only have ourselves to blame. A terrible penalty given away and a lapse of concentration with VAR topping it off. In addition, three very good chances to take the game in the first half that we didn't. We will never learn. I don't really agree with that. It was a tight game, they get a dodgy pen...

In real time that goal was offside twice. Who decides the mom,ent the ball was kicked ?
****ing quite. They're treating other decisions as "clear and obvious" yet, it's not entirely obvious when the ball is released.

****ing VAR.

Are we the only team that's going to get stung by this **** this season? That same lino flagged Yarmo offside in the first half and because "nothing happened" it was just given offside.

I hate Palace and their set piece, hit-on-the-break cloggers.

They're well-drilled but they're a bang ordinary team, Palace. Spend most of their time on the floor and complaining.

He's not trying to stop that ball coming in. Would love to see that one given against our friends from Liverpool, sure it would be

Pretty drab stuff. Yarmo looking the most likely to make something happen for us.

Think Woy will be the happier of the two gaffers at the break.

Re: this weekends fixtures

That is not a stonewall penalty. Can see why it's been given but at most it's 50/50; Mane couldn't wait to go down.

What's more disgusting is blowing the whistle that early after the VAR check, goal and a substitution in injury time  Just give them the title now and save everyone the bother.

Re: this weekends fixtures

I find Pochettino to be the only likeable thing about Spurs. All this talk about players not signing contracts, having their heads turned, it just makes you wonder whether he's had his head turned himself.

I think he'll be at Real Madrid by January.

Re: Update on where you think we'll finish

But is there anywhere else in the first eleven you would actually improve dramatically with one signing? We're already seeing this season how key Noble is. Whilst I know this isn't a transfer thread and whilst we need to be talking about full-backs again in the next window... we're edging ever clos...

And I'd be tempted to put Dion Dublin in at centre half (which is cheating a bit, but meh).

Re: Fabianski's injury

I think Roberto will be fin to be honest. I get the worry, but the issue is that the drop in quality is huge because we actually have one of the best keepers in the league. Even Liverpool who are top of the league have to drop down to Adrian as the back-up, and personally, I'd rather have Fabianski...

Re: Andriy Yarmolenko

Great player and seems like a top geezer to be around the place too. Worked really hard today.

He's got a touch of the Robben's about him; not in his play but in the obviousness of what he's going to do but being powerless to stop it. Cut inside, get half a yard (if that) and aim for the far corner.

I am not watching but on sky sports they are mystified why a penalty wasn't given to Josh King for the shirt pull that apparently went on for a long while
King had a fist-full of Cress' shirt at the same time.

A well-earned Desmond but still feels like a missed opportunity.

What do we reckon Pellers is pissed about, probably them continually kicking the **** out of Haller?
