Re: Time for a handball law revamp?
Let defenders use their hands in the box but not catch it. Simple :) But in all seriousness, the current inconsistency is utterly bonkers. In my view last night's one shouldn't be a penalty. But by the current letter of the silly laws, it absolutely should have been. If you go to a hockey-style appr...

I truly hope he goes soon.

Not that I'm endorsing him specifically - but a more modern, fancier version of Moyes is probably Thomas Frank.SammyLeeWasOffside wrote: ↑Thu Feb 15, 2024 1:03 pm Is there a de zerbi type out there to bring the next phase of our soak up pressure and counter philosophy?

There's a small part of me that finds it hilarious; because it must gall them badly that we turned them over 2-0 at their placeprophet:marginal wrote: ↑Mon Feb 12, 2024 11:58 am I've hidden at home. Either three at the back or Emerson further up the field.
Either way I don’t hate it, especially compared to the Bournemouth experiment.

It was a complete mess. We had a good while to prepare and the coaching staff thought “this is it”, somehow.
Baffling.

This is where the masterplan unfolds: Phillips as a left winger. Bosh. No-one will have seen it coming.

My goodness. Ref truly wanted to make that interesting in the end.
Misjudgement or otherwise, that's not a foul by Areola and god knows what Coufal's first booking was for, and then the one on Bowen at the end? Fuming.
We may not have been great but nearly ground it out and then had it taken away.

Re: West Ham United v Bristol City : match thread
It didn’t feel to me as though sitting back was intentional; it was a byproduct of not being able to pass or control a football. Our technique went to bits in the second half and combined with not winning any 50/50’s, a recipe for getting deeper. Proper West Ham though, Moyes, he knows results like ...
