I'd be annoyed if Southampton get him. He ticks all the boxes!
If Chelsea are willing to sell him, I doubt Southampton would win the race for him. Unless they bid the most (they won't) or nobody else goes in for him (which I'd be surprised about).

But yes, he won't be available this month.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

I prefer Broja. He has looked quite a handful and caused Diop and Dawson a lot of problems. If we could get him on loan if Chelsea don't want to sell we should seriously consider that move. Southampton reportedly want to buy him outright, suggesting Chelsea might be open to sale - if the money is r...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

I wonder where Aaron Ramsey will end up? Surprised he's not been hoovered up by Newcastle all ready. He's just won the annual award in Italy for 'biggest flop', even though he was signed several years ago.

If we sign Kortney Hause, will his nickname be "S**t* or "Bricksh*t"?

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

I have identified the 2 forwards that I think will be perfect for us. Neither of them will be available this window though.

Armando Broja (I may have mentioned this a few times before :P )
Ismaila Sarr (will surely be available in the summer, especially if Watford are relegated)

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

What if we sign a new striker for £40m and he shatters his knee cap on his debut? I think we should be seeking out Ogbonna's replacement now, but if the right player isn't available until Summer then we shouldn't waste money bringing suggestive subpar in and then bring stuck with them. Same goes fo...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

I’d still prefer to stick with a returning Zouma, Dawson and Diop at CH, a returning Cresswell, Coufal and Johnson at FB, Lanzini reborn at 10, Fornals and Benni competing and Antonio and Bowen up front. We need nobody and, if anything, someone else disrupts the harmony. These players have got us t...

I feel like we should go for 3 solid premier league signings
Ake
Origi
Lingard
Keepin' it simple. I'm with you on that.

(Not that I'm sure they're all available, especially Ake).

Moyes hopeful of signings in the next two weeks so you might be right 👍

Man Utd selling Lingard to us would IMO be up there with Burnley’s decision to sell Wood to Newcastle.
Newcastle activated a release clause in Wood's contract.

I thought Bamford was defo out, but seems Bielsa has said in his presser that he should be back, along with Rodrigo.

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Leeds Utd: match thread

Am I right in thinking we've beaten them in our last 4 meetings, all since they got promoted? For that reason, it seems like they're due something against us, but I just can't see anything other than a home win on Sunday given all their reported injury woes. Mind you, they frustrated us a fair bit i...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

Arthur Cabral is an interesting one. Given how many clubs are looking for a striker at the moment, it seems odd nobody has (yet) bid on Cabral. Or if they have, it's not been leaked to the press. I wonder why that is? Basel asking for way too much money, and PL sides think he's too risky? Another ob...

Alternative view is that they’ve totally ****ed the market
I think Villa already ****ed the market somewhat by paying top-dollar for late 20s players like Ings and Digne. No surprises they had a clear run at those guys.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

We don't need a striker right now. Antonio, Bowen and Yarmolenko can play the traditional number 9 and none of those are strikers. Moyes hardly ever rotates his team. If Haller was still here how many games would he have got this season? The cups and a sub for Antonio in the league with 10 mins to ...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

I don't know if he'd know anything but Danny Gabbidon has said on Twitter that we're interested in Broja. Danny is just copying my opinions from this transfer thread, which he clearly reads regularly. :winker: Broja would be perfect for us. (FWIW, I think Danny meant that Moyes would be interested ...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

One of the biggest disappointments in the league this season, IMO. He wins some headers, makes a few nice touches and scores pens here and there, but other than that I think he’s been way too hyped. I'm sure I was reading a few weeks ago about how close he was to an England call-up. Must admit, my ...

Broja scores again. Pity he’s Chelsea’s, something distasteful about buying their factory farm produce.
I'm convinced he's the answer to our long-term striker needs.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

Why would a Scottish kid move to Bologna, then decide to leave 2 years later when he's still only 19, and doing really well there? Do kids just go abroad for temporary experience?
