Re: The Archdeacon’s Christmas Message 2021

Thank you as always Rev. Elwin, your seasonal words kindness and encouragement are very much appreciated. It's easy to get cynical in this world we live in and it's people like you that stop some of us rom going down that road.

Re: Declan Rice

I would think that only winning Europa, would give us any chance of keeping him. Even then I think it would require a stronger squad and I mean stronger than the one we hope to have by late January. Also there is the matter of Sullivan,Gold and Brady wanting to share some of the substantial profit a...

Re: Spurs face disruption after coronavirus outbreak in squad

Do Spurs have the minimum amount of players ?
I'm thinking its 13 including a goalie ?
If so, I think Rennes should be awarded a win.

Re: carlton cole - the H word

Carlton is a lovely bloke, who has made a poor choice
Using the H or h word is going to upset some people and that is understandable.
He has made a sincere apology and it should be a reminder to us all to be careful.

Re: Stephen Sondheim RIP

I'm not a big Sondheim fan, in fact I'm not that into musicals, but "West Side Story" is my favourite musical by a mile. So if he had only written the lyrics for that, I would have much to thank him for. By the way there's another great version of S"somewhere" by Aretha Franklin ...

We’ve also seen him sulk like an under eleven when played in defence.
Can you please remind when this last happened with Antonio ?

Sorry to read, Spammy. I guess you will have known him reasonably well.
There was a couple of years when I saw quite a bit of Russell (1977-79), but I never saw him after I stopped working with Ian.
Before that I was just a fan.

Russell Hardy (Ian Dury/Kilburns) R.I.P.

I know there are quite a few some Ian Dury fans on KUMB and maybe even some Kilburn & The High Roads fans. Russell Hardy who was Ian Dury's musical partner when Ian kicked of his musical career, recently died aged 80. Russell co wrote some of The Kliburns best known numbers and also wrote the mu...

Re: Vienna Away - Cancelled

I figure one person threw it and perhaps someone else lit it. If somebody else smuggled it in, then it's the work of 3 people. If it happened twice then a maximum of 6 people involved and probably less. I wonder how much money has been lost because of them ?

Re: Declan Rice

It's difficult to compare as I can't think of a top former player who matches his role. Moore was a defender and less attacking. Bonds was an all-round aggressive player. Brooking was an elegant play-maker. I don't think we've had a better DM/box-to-box midfielder in the 40 years I've been watching...
