Re: Protests against the board being planned

Was there today - great turnout. Well done all involved.

UtJ was great, also the 2nd I think (tallish with black hair) was also exceptional.

Keep it up and I'll be there for the next event, hopefully with some extra bods I reckon I'll be able to persuade.

Actually think we'll get a result today.

I'd love to see Antonio, Lanzini, Anderson and Haller all start.

Not ITK but apparently officials from the Guinness book of records are going to be at the game today.
Biggest disparity between tickets sold and actual attendance at a sports match ever?

Re: ⚽ Wolverhampton Wanderers v West Ham United: Match Thread

I'm sorry to all the Noble lovers out there but it's time to face up to facts that he's a big part of the reason why we've struggled this season. I'm a self confessed Noble lover and have to agree. He is a class player on the ball, but off the ball he can't even get near enough to other players to ...

Had the same issue.

Match Pint app is showing a few pubs in the West End showing it but we're assuming the Black Bull in Stratford will be showing it so going there

Re: Amazon

I won't be downloading Amazon Prime, ever. Me and my mate would much rather buy a few beers at a pub and watch it there. Problem is, who's gonna show what game? So I just tweeted the Premier League about how to find out which pubs are showing which games (as all are being televised). Got a reply fro...

Re: Weekend games Sept 20th-22nd

Leicester v Spurs was a good watch.

Spurs very harshly had a goal disallowed. Son's arm was offside and it took VAR ages to make the decision. If it's that tight, don't bother.

Why Eriksen didn't start I have no idea.

Re: ⚽ Aston Villa v West Ham United: Match Thread

All things considered, that was a decent point.

Everton lost there 2-0 and most pundits have tipped them as more likely than us to break the top 6.

And, despite everyone's defensive concerns, that's two clean sheets on the bounce.

Agree that we missed Antonio.

Re: Little things that irritate you
Why live in a flat with someone you don't like? How did you end up in that situation?
Fair point. London house sharing is a complicated beast. The rent is cheaper than it should be on this place so I felt I had to compromise. I didn't dislike him to start with, but then I got to kno...

Re: Little things that irritate you

'Clear the air' chats.

My flatmate has just come into to my room, drunk, to clear the air because he thinks I don't like him. Which I don't. So what?

Why not just accept that we don't get on and leave it at that?

People, man.

Re: Man City starting line up

Fabianski Fredericks - Balbeuna - Diop - Masuaku Rice Antonio - Noble - Wilshere - Anderson Haller Antonio because of his end of season form and his physicality. A back post header where the Man City CB's are focussed on Haller is a likely way to score. It's a free hit really. If we don't lose 4-0 i...

Re: 2019/20 Formation and Tactics

Have a sneaking suspicion we will line up 4-1-4-1 a la Man City last season. Fabianski Fredericks - Balbuena - Diop/Reid - Masuaku/Cresswell Rice Yarmolenko/Antonio - Noble/Fornals - Lanzini/Wilshere - Anderson Haller The players with / are the ones where either could play and I think will be rotate...

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

Sullivan's lack of self awareness is another level. The worst succession of striker purchases probably in PL history since he was DoF. Hires a proper DoF. Signs Haller and his propaganda site tells us it's him  He can't really believe we're stupid enough to not see through that? Or more worryin...

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

I still can't believe people still think Hernadez will leave, he is probably our highest paid player on big money which no one else will be able to afford. Yep. But at least it puts the ball in his court. Stay - and earn your 140k per year, but you're well aware you'll be a (brilliant) impact sub o...

I don't think age is much of a bearing as it used to be.

Pro players' fitness is unprecedented now, and 32 isn't as 'old' as it was.

Re: Rafa leaves Newcastle (Non WHU)

Was having this exact conversation with a Geordie supporting mate this evening. He's so upset about Rafa that tonight was the first time he could speak about it! Reckons the only way to affect change is for the Geordies to arrange a blockade of Sports Directs across the country and hit him where it ...
