Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Leeds Utd: match thread

Yesterday felt like a game too far. Oh...and why oh why do we start games sooo poorly. We didn't wake up until they scored. For me this has been really key as can't recall the last time we came out the blocks flying. I know we've won 4/5 games recently but even the games we have won (Watford and pa...

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Leeds Utd: match thread

The game seemed like a carbon copy of the Southampton game.... we equalised twice but we couldn't quite settle and get the winner. It seemed like every time Leeds came forwards they'd score and what's annoying is it wasn't like they were constantly knocking at the door. Today Leeds were clinical whi...

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Leeds Utd: match thread

2 key things for me. Antonio looks like he doesn't have the energy or fight to retain possession lately and I'm putting that down to fatigue. I've seen games where he has destroyed his marker and he hasn't done that for a long while. I've seen him get pushed about and for someone of his size it shou...

Re: Is now a good time for the season to be suspended?

Haven't read these posts but anything that negatively impacts Arteta and arsenal is what I want. Still haven't moved on from the antics that arteta and his snide side showed against us. Getting Coufal sent off by swarming round the ref for his first yellow (who sadly melted under the pressure), and ...

Re: Welcome, Jarrod Bowen

Goes to show that thoughtlessly throwing money at the league doesn't work (everton, spurs, man u x 1000) whereas moyes is actually identifying potential and gives players time to fulfil it. All the while maintaining a happy camp and creating a great team spirit/ work ethic. It's spot on by moyes so ...

Re: Welcome, Jarrod Bowen

If Liverpool came with an offer of £60-70m I’d sell him. It’s Rice that for me is irreplaceable. Not for me... let's get 60m so we can find another bowen. Liverpool won't put Salah in the shop window to find another Salah and we should avoid doing the same. We've come too far as a club to start dis...

I'm told the Lee Buchanan link has legs. Derby, not WHU source on this occasion. Suggested fee ITRO £2m.

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Norwich City: rescheduled match thread

Think 1 player who has gone under the radar in this game is Fornals. The glorious bowen chance in the first few mins... slotted in by fornals. The bowen dink which hit the bar... fed by fornals. The antonio chance where he spins the defender... Fed by fornals Bowen hitting the post after defected sh...

Re: Who Will Beat Us To Top 4?

If we beat Leeds on Sunday then we'd be on 40pts and have 16 games left to play.
If we can win half of those games (bering in mind we are currently on a 52% win rate atm) then that would likely secure top 6.

I hope we continue being massive :hamm:

Re: Welcome, Jarrod Bowen

Bloke is an absolute animal.
He runs and runs and runs and then when everyone else is huffing and puffing on the 89th minute he'll still chase lost causes, then gets back to help in defence, and will then sprint for a counter attack (and score).
And then he'll do a few more sprints.
Animal.

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Norwich City: rescheduled match thread

Think I'd like to see Kral next to Rice if souchek has a touch of the omicrons as he has bags of energy. Go a couple up and then bring noble on to slow it all down and let the game peter out.
Simples.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

On the subject of lingard, if you were keen to make the England squad what manager would you rather be under? The emotionally unstable Conte or moyes who probably owns Lingard PJs? Plus Lingard likely walks into our first team whereas I'm not sure he does at spurs. Either way, hope the rumours to sp...

You're right... shocking 2021

I hate winning
Likely would've won more if we'd had a 2nd striker though.
Id hate getting top 4.

Re: ⚽ Arsenal vs West Ham Utd: match thread

The absolute worst decision tonight was giving Coufal that first yellow. An unintentional arm. Tierney has absolutely milked it. That led to us having a FB on a yellow early and then ultimately getting sent off. I wouldn’t mind, but Arsenal did the same thing twice and nothing happened. Tbh, they w...

Re: ⚽ Burnley vs West Ham Utd: match thread

It's one of the worst decisions so far this season. Shocking that they didn't give it but its easy to say no to West Ham.
Dawson jumps to shield the ball for a corner and the defender swipes his legs away. It's so Clumsy by the defender but that doesn't mean it's not a pen.

Re: Burnley vs West Ham Utd: match thread

Agreed, he looks superb. Kind of evens out our missing defenders. Wood is a good centre forward but I trust Dawson and Diop to handle him. Dawson was made for these sort of games but Diop really does concern me vs Burnley. Can he remained switched on for 90 mins while they continually whip / float ...

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Brighton & Hove Albion: match thread

I don't have the stats to hand but one thing I noticed about last season was how good we were at seeing games out with narrow leads and how good we were from winning positions in general. I look back at the Palace, man u, and Brighton games when I say this. I think zouma and Dawson will do a fine jo...
