Re: West Ham United v Aston Villa: match thread (17.03.24)
As well as the last minute shambles by the officials, I still haven't seen anything conclusive to show Antinio handball for our 2nd disallowed goal.

Antonio cut out those silly 'I'm going to throw myself to the ground all game' moments and was willing to stand up and be bullish against Freiburgs defence. was excellent last night. keep doing that please

Re: West Ham Utd V Burnley: match thread - 10.03.24
Defensively we just aren't very good and we rarely keep a clean sheet. Aguerd and Mavropanos are full of blunders and Zouma has the mobility of Long John Silver. Unless extreamly lucky, it kind of puts a ceiling on a teams success. BTW... those in-field passes that Mavropanos attempts. do any of the...

Re: ✍️ Welcome Lucas Paquetá - Our Brazilian Magnifico
I think if you're an attacking player that can shine in a system like ours and approach the manager employs (no dig there), then think what can be achieved when you play in a more expansive way. Only thing that will stop him going there is if the charges come this season, on both sides of the coin....

He was in the Bolyen today with his little girl. Was having pics with the locals. That's proper!
I'd share a pic if I knew how.

Re: Ben Johnson
Whatever you think of Johnson as a player, to find a replacement who can cover four or five positions will cost us more than giving him a few quid more. £65k is a bit strong but if we can get him down to £50k it might be worth doing. Not digging you out but I think it's generous to call Ben J a uti...

Re: Nottingham Forest v West Ham United : match thread
What's quite clear to me is without Paqueta we can't create a single chance in play which means we spend the vast majority of the game defending. And if you spend the vast majority of the game defending you end up conceding lots of chances, goals and yellow cards. it's a worry that we only have 1 cr...

Don't do it Mate. Why ruin your Sunday?
I'd go for a good Disney film like Mulan or Hunchback.

in 170 minutes of football I don't believe we've created 1 clear opportunity to score.

Re: West Ham United FC Vs Arsenal FC Match thread
One of the key concerns in this team is the partnership of Zouma and Aguerd. Its just never worked! We actually looked better when Ogbonna and Mavro came in for a brief period when the other 2 were injured. Zouma limps around the pitch for 90 minutes and Aguerd struggles the read the flight of the b...

Re: West Ham United FC Vs Arsenal FC Match thread
I know it's been said a thousand times but to let two players go so we have to play our reserve right back on the left wing is totally ****ing insane. Our season has been sabotaged by the owners. I hope fans don't forget that we were in 6th position with a 3 point gap on 7th and we actively went ou...

Re: ✍ Welcome Nayef Aguerd
oddly enough we looked better when mavropanos and oggy are paired together compared to Zouma and Aguerd. (I believe we beat spurs, man u and Arsenal with oggy and Mavro) on paper they look like a formidable partnership but it's never really taken off with those 2 and although I don't have the stats,...

the main thing that annoys me about Moyes is he makes Sullivan come across as a mildly competent football club owner.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
This window has confirmed that he's a dead man walking. Shades of January 2015 and Big Sam. Sixth in the league and last 16 of Europe and they've done this. What a sickener. 100% compare us with the 5 teams above us. they have genuine squads with ambition and desire to push on. we have absolutely z...

Re: West Ham Utd v Bournemouth - Match Thread
it's funny, the style of football we played under moyes when we had starters like Benrahma, Fornals and lingard etc was light years ahead of the dross that is usually served up now. trying to think, when was the last time we genuinely dominated a side and won comfortably.? sure, we beat Arsenal man ...

Re: January transfer window
Absolutely no problem with Fornals and cornet going even if nobody comes in as they are both awful footballers and if it means they don’t ever play for us again I’m happy with that . Always liked Benni but he’s done now if we can get Sarr in for him as a straight replacement we improved the side wi...

Re: January transfer window
A question that needs to be asked is, once Benny, Fornals and Cornet are sold, who do we fall back on after the next injury crisis ? I'm not sure Sullivan, Moyes or Tim too come to that, have thought about this. I dont think, they do think, actually Said exactly the same. In a season where we are d...

Re: ✍ Pablo Fornals
I still think, in a side that has a bench full of kids, this is a bad move for West Ham. Especially in a season where 5th place could get you CL. He still has loads to offer IMO and although he's fallen away a bit it, would make more sense to do this in the summer if possible. That said, if Fornals ...
