Re: Season ticket renewal 24/25

I won’t renew my band 3 at £790, but I’d consider renewing to a lower band/lower price. Problem is I’ve was told I have to renew my current band 3 (I also pay for my son so it’s 2 x £790) and then request to be moved. I doubt I’d get my money back. Last year I was told there were no two band 4 or 5 ...

Re: England -v- Brazil & then -v- Belgium

Should have been kept Bowen on, and took Foden off. Bowen was having a very good game on the right.
He’s certainly done his best to get in to the euro squad.
Has Maddison even broken in to a sweat?

Re: England -v- Brazil & then -v- Belgium

We might score a few goals, but we are going to concede loads against decent sides. Seems no up and coming English players want to play CB these days. Nice assist from Stormzy though. Rice could do a job at CB. There is plenty of options in CM. Doubt Southgate would do it, Arteta wouldn’t like it.

Good goal that. But shows lack of pace at CB.

Re: West Ham United v Aston Villa: match thread (17.03.24)

If it needed 6 minutes for VAR only to be inconclusive, then it wasn't clear and obvious. The end. The entire VAR system needs to be scrapped or re-calibrated. It's a sham. Less said of the ref the better. Incompetent idiot. Agree. A timer should be put on the VAR decision, maybe max 1 minute - if ...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

I thought taking Antonio off was a bit strange and so did the people sitting around us.
He was our outlet to hold of the ball.
That said, Villa were starting to get on top.
Too evenly matched teams, but VAR has robbed us the win.

I thought he had to have at least one foot touching the line or behind it, when the ball is kicked.

Re: West Ham United -v- SC Freiburg - 2nd leg match thread - 14.03.24

We can’t keep a clean sheet no matter who is in the back four, so or best form of defence is attack, basically high intensity from kick off and press - but it’s no good just one player doing that, they need to hunt in packs. We know we can beat these but we can’t give them a chance to settle. Right ...

Re: ✍ Welcome, Kalvin Phillips

Too long doing virtually nothing at Man City has left him way short of match practice and probably knocked his confidence. Hopefully he can regain both and quickly. I don’t think he will be a West Ham player next season though. Just feels that we are investing our time on a player that will return t...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

Strong week for the Moyes Out brigade! Hard to defend the guy when we set up at home so reserved against one of the worst teams in the league. Yes the VARce at the end of the game killed us. But the way we played in the second half and in particular the last half and hour just proves we need to tak...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

Was just a typical first leg of a European tie. I think we will beat them comfortably in the home game. With the away goals rule being scrapped it is especially advantageous. Let’s hope so. I feel we could have made this coming Thursday night a much easier night. It looked like we had another gear ...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

It is plainly obvious that the manager is prioritising Thursday, the biggest game of the season so far. I am amazed people will go on about having a go in the cups and then throw the toys out of the park after a game like today’s. People need to see the bigger picture and understand the relative pr...

Re: West Ham Utd V Burnley: match thread - 10.03.24

At home, against a team that are joint bottom of the league, and you set up so negativly, there is just no excuse, it’s poor management. Better second half and a draw is better than a loss, but it’s two points dropped because of negative management in the first half. I’d like to have been a fly on t...

Re: West Ham Utd V Burnley: match thread - 10.03.24

Someone senior within the club needs to pull the manager aside and say that his tactics just don’t suit the players we have.
The players have been crap but if they don’t know how to play the positions they are bring asked to play, then that will affect performance. There is no LW available.

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2024

Some people may know the answer to this. Do you think we have a transfer window strategy/players of interest to sign, already in place for between when this season ends and next season starts? I guess who will be the manager next season and taking into account their playing style/strategy needs to b...
