Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

From Ex’s Patreon last night: There are reports of interest in Blackburn’s English, now Chilean forward Diaz. This Interest in the player we broke back on the 14th December and we have been keeping a steady eye on him since. The main hurdle for this deal is Blackburn’s Premier League pursuit. They a...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

I feel for Alex Kral … I had high hopes … if only he got playing time regularly So do I. I am sure he is gutted it hasn’t worked out for him so far more than anyone. I personally don’t think he’s played particularly bad when he has played in the Cups. But Moyes watches him train far more than I do....

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

Last Sunday was all about the terrible display of Diop Central midfield is not a position we need to strengthen in He was. However I disagree it’s not a position we need to strengthen. Noble is out injured and will be retiring in a few months time. And Moyes doesn’t seem to fancy Kral. If Rice or S...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

Ward Prowse?? Does he play CH? CF or LB? No. Then why are we discussing him? Hardly someone we need. Who plays central midfield when either Rice &/or Soucek are missing? We saw how well that went last Sunday. We certainly need a Centre half and a left back. And I am not saying Ward Prowse would...

It's a shame they got knocked out of the Conference League, because chucking that on top of things would have been enormously hilarious.
The irony is the Conference League was probably their best chance of ending their trophy draught. And yet completely turned their nose up to it.

Re: ⚽ Manchester Utd vs West Ham Utd: match thread

It’s all well and good hoping Zouma can play. But if our midfield fails to offer any protection to the back line, which it did last Sunday, then it’s irrelevant who plays at the back. As they’ll still have a lot to deal with.

Re: Is now a good time for the season to be suspended?

Spare a thought for all the highly rated youngsters playing for the u23 teams across the Premier League. Clubs such as the Spuds, Liverpool, the Gooners, Burnley etc. would rather postpone their games then stick even some of them on the bench. Let alone give them a chance. They in a nutshell stuck t...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

I really liked the look of Szalai when I’ve seen him play. My only concerns are whether he’d adapt to the Premier League. And whether he can play in a back 4. As admittedly the only time I’ve seen him play was for Hungary in a back 5. I am just not sure if this is the type of gamble we should be mak...

Re: Rooney at Derby

Don’t like the bloke. But yes, he really has done an unbelievable job at Derby. To keep them fighting with all the points deduction they’ve had and not being able to really spend much money on bringing in new players is not to be sniffed at. I hope for his sake though he doesn’t make the same mistak...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

Ex just confirmed the following on his Patreon: - Coventry is joining MK Dons on loan; - Carroll wasn’t at the training ground. He apparently didn’t enjoy the best relationship with David Moyes whilst here under Moyes’ previous spell. He was even sent home from training and fined two weeks wages fol...

Yes, he’s a club legend for me. - A HOTY winner; - Our highest ever Premier League scorer; - Part of the squad that claimed our highest ever points total in the Premier League; - Part of a squad that won the most amount of games in a Premier League season; - Part of a squad that won the most amount ...

Re: Declan Rice

For him to stay beyond this season we need to win either the FA cup or the EL. I think he’ll stay as long as we are in some sort of European competition for at least 1 more season. I’m not worried. Other than possibly Man Utd, I can’t see which other top 6 club are likely to come in for him this co...

Yes, we haven’t won in the League there since 2007. And Moyes has never ever won a League game there as a visiting manager.

Records are there to be broken. :newthumb:

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Leeds Utd: match thread

As others have said, Beilsa had our number. He had a week to review and identify our weaknesses and would have been naive not to expect him to. We needed to change it up and didn’t. - couple that with a couple of poor performances our end, game over. Beilsa certainly did. He was very clever yesterd...

Re: Lukasz Fabianski signs

No, you might have had question marks, but none of the goals we let in vs Leeds were his fault, they were all down to the defence/midfield. The first goal, he actually saved the initial shot, and somehow got his fingertips to the follow up, but when a player has a free shot barely 12 yards out the ...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

is it just our defence though? Or does our style of play also make us susceptible to conceding goals? Both. I think a lot of us are really underestimating the damage Rice’s surge forwards are doing to the team from a defensive perspective. If we are going to allow Rice to keep doing that then for m...
