Re: Today i bumped into...

Not bumped into but did some work today and met Keith Senior (giant ex-Rugby League international) who was very friendly and not the cock he easily could have been, a bunch of jockeys who were all very funny (Dave Crosse, Richie McLernon and some others), and the Overton brothers (play cricket for S...

Re: Robert Snodgrass signs

Just been looking at the auction page - what a brilliant effort and he really does seem to be a very decent bloke. Puts the way Isla's situation has been used by others into sharp relief. Would get my vote for HotY for what he does off the field as well as on it.

Re: Hammers On Loan 2018/19

Great thread, Leon, thanks for keeping it updated.

Bit worried about what Browne might be picking up from this James Henry bloke tho:
Browne carried it in to the area. His low ball was ****ed by Henry.
Then later
James Henry ****ing the ball into the net from Browne's cross.

Re: Mark Hughes sacked

Ralph Hassenhutl has been appointed as the new manager. He was in charge of RB Leipzig when they bid for Reece Oxford - a bid for him in January wouldn't be a surprise.

Hopefully he's come down with a touch of the Nolans and will be back for us just after Christmas.

Commentator just called Ogbonna Aubameyang - know it's a different position but wouldn't swap him.

Carroll’s done bugger all and has looked completely off it so far.
When we were always defending like mad, he'd often end up looking good popping up at the back. Looks a bit clueless in a team on the front foot.

We had a decorator start at ours this morning and I kept thinking 'I recognise this bloke' - finally it hit me - he's the spit of Pat Mustard from Father Ted.

Re: West Ham Myths . . .

Marco Boogers' depression caravan
When the The Sun called the club's travel arranger to ask if Boogers had gone back to Holland, the arranger told them there hadn't been any flights booked and if he'd gone, he'd probably 'gone by his car again'. This was misheard and the caravan myth was born.

Come to think of it, anyone old enough to remember the oval shaped cigs called Passing Clouds ? Actually you could start an old fag thread ( definitely nothing to do with Cliff) as I can't be the only one who spent their teens trying to sample all the different brands. ( French exchange kids swappi...

Not doing Wilshere down but do you think him being out helped? It seemed like our midfield had clearer ideas of their roles without him in the mix.

Re: Gold and Sullivan ???

This is in no way me standing up for Gold and Sullivan but when was the last time we were a well run club? For the last 20 years at least money seems to have been spunked, lost and spent on ridiculous wages for old/injury-prone players. I understand the Icelandics had good intentions but we were sti...

Re: Official Betting Thread

Anyone doing 'Beat the Drop' on Paddy Power? It's free. You start with a million pounds and have to split it between two options - for example 'Will Poland score before the 29th minute against Lithuania?' In all there's 20 bets and you keep whatever you have left at the end. Basically a really drawn...
