Re: Summer 2023/24 Transfer Thread

If that happens I'd love nothing more than for Kane to sit tight and go to Man United at the end of the season, that's Levy's worst nightmare In all the years he's been there through Carrick, Modric, Berbatov, Bale I've never seen the guy blink when it comes to selling them. This is the first time ...

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2021

To be fair, as far as I'm concerned it's Moyes and no-one else who decides if someone is good enough - or not. If that's the case with those guys then fine. My issue is where he does want someone, whether Sullivan can do his bit and get it over the line without tripping over his giant ego. So far t...

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2021

BBC and Guardian quoting £25m for him. still a bit of a long price for me... But then how often does a 1 in 2 striker come on the mkt. Ings Age 29 2018-2021 / 91 appearances 41 goals Antonio Age 31 2018-2021 / 90 appearances 27 goals Not too shabby from our own injury prone striker. For the record ...

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2021

Don't compare Villa to WH. They are filthy rich, even without selling the diver. We can't compete with the rich for transfers My frustration with Villa is last time they were relegated they were absolutely woeful, packed full of mercenaries and dead wood. Four years later and they have made some sh...

On a more positive note, if The Blades lose by 2 goals or more tonight we’re all the way up to 16th and on our way to the Dave’s fabled premier league safety with no money spent!

I like the look of that kid, if the Baggies are struggling by Xmas maybe we should test their resolve with a cheeky low bid for such a pacy youngster with potential, say 25m?

Is that when they can sell the team without coughing up back to the tax payer?

They clearly don’t want to take this club forward, their actions prove that beyond doubt now, they are in it for the money.

Re: Summer 2020 Transfer Thread

The sell on value thing sometimes needs knocking on the head, can’t fill the side with 28 yr olds but if the right player is there then go for it. I mean if he did come we’d get a good 3/4 seasons out him anyway which this day an age isn’t bad. If I may, I think theres a lot of confusion in Potenti...

Which means we won’t look at them until the end of the season.

Doubt any of them will want to drop to the Championship though.

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

Moyes isn’t going anywhere (until the owners don’t want him anymore). He’s had two 6 month stints at West Ham in the last 3 years and that’s all, if he wants to stay in football he needs at least a season somewhere to prove he still can cut it. He’ll bite his tongue and get on with it, yes he’s very...

Re: Summer 2020 Transfer Thread

My concern would be based on the intentions towards Hugill. In the same way as Antonio was started ahead of Ajeti in the run in, simply by being the last senior forward standing, may not be good enough. And it might actually be better to bring in a loan, on a protective basis, as opposed to having ...

Re: Summer 2020 Transfer Thread

This was interesting I thought. Via The Athletic – Question is whether this is Arnautovic Mk II or a purple patch. My own opinion, we’ve seen enough of Antonio over the years to know he gives 100% as long as he’s on the pitch, but he’s rarely lasted the full 90 minutes, he’s not going to be the new...
