I'll have a watch of this at some point. Can't right now as I'm in work.

Well done for doing this!

Re: Mental Health (free course starting 28th Jan 2019 - page 66)

I used to self-harm, a lot. I used to punch myself in the head to try and relieve the pain. It helped a bit but I have no idea what side-effects I have caused now. :fsake:

Re: Mental Health (free course starting 28th Jan 2019 - page 66)

Top post, Prawny. Well done for sharing all of that. Well done for not falling back on drinking and/or smoking. I'm so sorry to hear that it has come to this. One thing I've learnt over the past few years is that love never fails and if you apply this when it comes to your children, then they will n...

It can be difficult to understand. Tell her sometimes you just have to hunker down & let the storm pass over or blow itself out.
Been there many times.

Thank you for your advice though.

Re: Mental Health (free course starting 28th Jan 2019 - page 66)

Sorry to hear that, ph. It's circular, isn't it? You're feeling rough but that impacts on your relationship, which then makes you feel rougher. Hope that you get some peace of mind soon. Spot on. Mrs PH always has good intentions but tries to pinpoint it to a reason. Which gets me frustrated...

Re: Mental Health (free course starting 28th Jan 2019 - page 66)

Prawny, well done for battling all of this. Life's hard enough without having to deal with the loss of loved ones. It's something we know is going to happen but hits us like a ton of bricks when it does.

You're a good man and we've PMd in the past, so if you need to again for whatever, I'm here.

Re: Mental Health (free course starting 28th Jan 2019 - page 66)

Get it out in the open Simon, the best thing for you. Although many won't understand how you feel, it's good that they know. Update on the SAD light: I think it's helping. I feel a bit brighter (if you'll excuse the pun) in myself. I've also started taking Vit D tablets. My blood tests previously sh...

Is the lamp thing to be used in the office? Yes, work only. They won't allow me to take it home at weekends but I get out more on the weekends, so not such a big deal. I understand the arse-covering, but it can't be carried out in the manner they did i.e asking whether "you are depressed" is a hamf...
