Re: Was the Atmosphere more positive Saturday

When everyone gets going it's very loud but completely different to the old girl. It takes until right at the end of a chant for the rest of the ground to even realise it was being sung, so once they join in it's just one side singing again. Doesn't help that one song will get sung and then everyon...

We as football fans are a fickle bunch. Positive game = positive atmosphere.

Re: Javier Hernandez Signs

unless someone else steps up - his leaving could well felt in the form of 3 or 4 points. Point taken, but I'd hope that Lanzini, Fornals, Anderson etc could step up in this situation, whilst also offering something over the whole season, rather than Hernandez who may dig us out a hole but offers ve...

Re: Javier Hernandez Signs

That's his game though. He's not a link man, he's not there to win or hold the ball up, to use Hernandez properly you need other players to feed him the ball in the box, to feet and let him finish. We haven't played that way when he's been here so he's always been a bad fit. Which is fair enough, i...

Re: Javier Hernandez Signs

Did anyone actually see Hernandez play for us when he was here?

For all the talk of him being an out and out goalscorer or offering something different, it was like playing with 10 men with him on the pitch.

Re: Carlos Sanchez

Thing is, playing in centre mid, you really have to be in the rhythm to play well. If you're out of practise you get caught on the ball and are a bit slow reacting to stuff around you, unless your just going to run around like a madman flying into tackles, it takes a few games. Sadly you don't reall...

Gutted for him, his effort and eagerness is infectious to the rest of the team. When he's fully up for it, everyone else seems to run more.

Re: ⚽ Newport County v West Ham United: FL Cup Match Thread

The way MP wants to play, we'll always let teams have chances unfortunately. As long as we we're putting away ours I'm not massively bothered. My main gripe is the sloppiness in possession when we're attacking/trying to transition.

I echo what a lot have said before, I'm not hugely confident. If we can't get the win, I'd love an exciting 3-3. I just don't want to be bored/frustrated like last year, few beers in the sunshine and a few songs :scarfer:

Re: Is there space at The London stadium for a museum?

For some reason this thread has for some reason brought back a lot of nostalgia about UP. Haven't really thought about the ins and outs of the stadium for ages, bloody miss that place :( I know a few people, myself included bought a couple items and sent them on to the families where possible. I just love the football factory-esque bouncing round on his toes from Kolasinac.

Fairplay, and as others have said, you can't really have a pop at Ozil for not getting out the car, leaving there wives inside on their own, to fight 2 guys with knives.
