Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
people confuse sullivan for a standard issue wealth extracting embezzler which to me is a bit of an oversimplification. seems to me he's a capricious sort and likely a narcassist. i imagine he flits between dreaming of a statue of himself outside the plastic monstrosity we call a stadium, then conso...

aside from his obvious ability, the psychological boost of having bowen back will but immense. we won't just be a worse version of the team that lost last week.

if jarrod's front and centre for the cameras and moyes says there's a good chance he'll feature, bet your house on him being out.

Re: West Ham Utd v Bayer Leverkusen: match thread (2nd leg)
I actually feel happy that Paqueta is not playing.....he's a liability and it makes me laugh when people say we've never won without him ....well we've sure lost plenty with him! He's an unsporting showboater who rolls around Ronaldo style at the slightest of touches and gives the ball away more of...

sullivan loves to run down a contract rather than actually take action as a defence against the careful what you wish for bridage.DusseldorfHammer wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2024 2:12 pm If the club is looking for a change, the current contractual situation of the next head coach/manager should not be a factor.

i'd happily take fonseca if it was done quicky, quietly and with minimum fanfare.Burnley Hammer wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2024 2:28 pm Struggling to see beyond Fonseca and Slot to be honest, although I'd be quite keen on poaching Iraola from Bournemouth too.
the fact that he's going to have a built in grudge against spurs is a selling point.

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions
This is all very far fetched, West Ham owning all that land. Someone asked why would we build a stadium when we have one that is filled every game? I say "IF" we ever owned the land do what the Brentford owner did, he said you can build me offices and apartments on the land I own , but pa...

An open training session tomorrow morning followed by the press conference in the afternoon... :crest: moyes loves a bit of subterfuge and even if he's not fit enough to play a football match, bowen will definitely be able to kick a ball around in training. if we don't see him i reckon he's starting.

9-10th i reckon. newcastle and chelsea both getting their act together while we're largely floudering. wolves i think are a bit shot. brighton have the same "manager is offiski-itus" that we do and some tricky fixtures. i actually think bournemouth might make a late run for top half. proba...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions
i've mentioned a couple of times that the real value in our OS deal comes from squatters rights on a plot of land that is worth far more as a development than it is as a stadium alone, so i thought i'd knock this up in photoshop: https://imgur.com/2Og4Z4G.png that's the same plot of land, everton's ...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
i remember foncesca's name turning up this time last year to little fanfare. seems his star has risen a bit since then. The stadium is a liability more than an asset though. It's a temporary structure that is falling apart. I wonder if he wants to sell or develop the land and then build a stadium so...

it's a shame if mav's injured as otherwise i'd have him partner oggy in a back four.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
for my sins i actually like mourinho as a pantomime character (though not so much since his star has fallen and he's more just depressing than provocative), but outside of the playstyle arguments, mourinho would want full control and massively prefers using established players over squad development...

Re: West Ham Utd v Bayer Leverkusen: match thread (2nd leg)
Once more the barrel is spun, Moyes is handed the revolver and puts it to his bandana. Each and every time before the chamber has been empty. Wolves, Fulham, Everton, Prague... I'm not betting this is over. bowen is the common denominator in all of those, going back to his debut, whenever the cloud...

the fencing pose he went into had me worried. credit to the lad that he only took a few touches but immediately showed everyone what he was about. reminded me of when we first saw lanzini combining with payet.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
moyes doesn't really seem to appreciate the modular nature of football full stop. whereas other managers see the possibilities of articulating their core structure with different customisations, moyes likes to keep his in its factory condition. he's got his XI, then the rest are just off brand spare...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
Pulling numbers out of thin air to support a stance sounds pretty deluded to me, Beavis. all the numbers i have seen from west ham circles suggest this. i'd do a straw poll of my mates but that's going to look too pretty. i maybe totally wrong, how about starting a poll with a simple "should w...
