Re: Where will we finish?

9-10th i reckon. newcastle and chelsea both getting their act together while we're largely floudering. wolves i think are a bit shot. brighton have the same "manager is offiski-itus" that we do and some tricky fixtures. i actually think bournemouth might make a late run for top half. proba...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions

i've mentioned a couple of times that the real value in our OS deal comes from squatters rights on a plot of land that is worth far more as a development than it is as a stadium alone, so i thought i'd knock this up in photoshop: https://imgur.com/2Og4Z4G.png that's the same plot of land, everton's ...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

i remember foncesca's name turning up this time last year to little fanfare. seems his star has risen a bit since then. The stadium is a liability more than an asset though. It's a temporary structure that is falling apart. I wonder if he wants to sell or develop the land and then build a stadium so...

it's a shame if mav's injured as otherwise i'd have him partner oggy in a back four.

we miss his angelic visage and aloof calm.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

for my sins i actually like mourinho as a pantomime character (though not so much since his star has fallen and he's more just depressing than provocative), but outside of the playstyle arguments, mourinho would want full control and massively prefers using established players over squad development...

Re: West Ham Utd v Bayer Leverkusen: match thread (2nd leg)

Once more the barrel is spun, Moyes is handed the revolver and puts it to his bandana. Each and every time before the chamber has been empty. Wolves, Fulham, Everton, Prague... I'm not betting this is over. bowen is the common denominator in all of those, going back to his debut, whenever the cloud...

bowen and soucek were well down the pipeline before moyes arrived.

emerson was probably his best signing, as in a player who he identified and went in for.

the fencing pose he went into had me worried. credit to the lad that he only took a few touches but immediately showed everyone what he was about. reminded me of when we first saw lanzini combining with payet.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

moyes doesn't really seem to appreciate the modular nature of football full stop. whereas other managers see the possibilities of articulating their core structure with different customisations, moyes likes to keep his in its factory condition. he's got his XI, then the rest are just off brand spare...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

Pulling numbers out of thin air to support a stance sounds pretty deluded to me, Beavis. all the numbers i have seen from west ham circles suggest this. i'd do a straw poll of my mates but that's going to look too pretty. i maybe totally wrong, how about starting a poll with a simple "should w...

they've already signed the bloke from bournemouth.

steidten gave an interview last week in germany saying how happy he is here, which was very different from the coded "come and get me" he gave a few months back.

miserable game, horrific injury to one of our most promising youth players, 0 points, general swirling cloud of apathy.

thursday is either going to be one of the best nights in our history or kill off the season.

still think we'll get a win here.

need to get one back in the first 15 minutes before fatigue takes hold though. if we're equal by then adrenaline will carry us, if not it might just trundle to a point at best.

So the few that did get through landed in the middle of the negev desert? Almost like they were aimed there. Re: Midweek Games April 9-11

so a ball that randomly deflects onto the arm of a defender who knew absolutely nothing about it in a completely unthreatening way is rewarded with an almost certain goal, but body checking someone in on goal on the line and both tumbling into the box isn't?

absolute joke. week in week out.
