Re: Bulgaria vs England

It’s not that I don’t understand. It’s that I disagree. For too long players have played through it, turned the other cheek, made a stand, whatever. They shouldn’t have to, it needs to end. 100% It's made no difference to backward countries like these that have had there fair share of imbeciles in ...

Gareth Southgate (W21 D9 L8) has lost as many games as England manager in 38 matches as Roy Hodgson lost in 56 matches as manager (W33 D15 L8).

 Yet Gareth is god like to some people
He does it when it really matters most. That's the massive difference between the two.

Re: Mark Noble - West Ham Legend

The problem we have is who will replace him next season when he must start to wind down. I've lost count the amount of times I've heard that down the years. The way he is currently playing, they'll be no need to definitely replace him in the form he's in. He'd have to seriously deteriorate for that...

Re: Mark Noble - West Ham Legend

:asleep: discussion over. If you say so, sleepy. The evidence is clear as day whenever you watch them play. Noble tries more difficult searching passes than Delph could ever dream to make and I'd hazard an educated guess a large proportion of Delphs are more simpler passes but cannot be arsed...

Re: Mark Noble - West Ham Legend

His best periods of form over the years playing for us have been when he’s had a higher class of players playing around him. A brief period with Tevez, his best season for us IMO with Payet, and over the last couple of seasons when we have had a better quality of squad overall to pick from. Not say...

Re: Mark Noble - West Ham Legend

you cannot give one single reason why Noble should be included over Delph here. Not one.. I already have, as well as on so many previous occasions and I could point out even more reasons as to why he's be a better option than Delph, but what's the point when you already overlook what I've alr...

Re: Cresswell or Masuaku?

The manager has called upon on him as his Captain, as well as play him many times when he can. The evidence doesn't suggest he'd want to sell him and only keeping him against his wishes because the Board are penny pinching. I've also mentioned previously that the budget was available for the manager...

Re: Mark Noble - West Ham Legend

Apart from the fact that Delph has 20 caps to Nobles 0, can cover off a few positions, has been around the England squad for a good few years and Southgate knows him. Let's not let our club bias get in the way of facts, Noble isn't going to get a call up. It's got **** all to do with Club bias, bel...

Re: Mark Noble - West Ham Legend

and if Mark Noble played for Man City he wouldn't play as much as he does for us. ridiculous argument. No, because that wouldn't be the argument. I'd easily argue he would have played more than Delph would have in the same City squad. I've always said had he been plonked in better squads surrounded...

Re: Mark Noble - West Ham Legend

Delph hasn't even play anywhere near as much football as ever present Noble since his first got an England call up. For those that like stats, it's a shocking return and shows how inconsistent he's been to play due to injuries, or just not being good enough for City. And even then he was made to pla...

Re: Mark Noble - West Ham Legend

100% I just find it laughable and irritating when trying to understand a managers reasoning behind the decision to always overlook Noble. Delph is one of the best examples. Don't get me started on that over rated fat **** Dier either, who Noble often keeps tucked away in his pocket when faced agains...

Re: Cresswell or Masuaku?

The message this sends out about our ambition is.... We have genuine competition for places in both full back spots involving 4 players going forward as a squad with 3 homegrown full backs, young and experienced - Cresswell, Masuaku, Fredericks, Johnson? I can think of worse squads having to cope w...

Re: Mark Noble - West Ham Legend

the national team needs balance and Delph has played well for the team in the past. I also think he's pretty loyal to his players which can be a good or bad thing depending on your viewpoint. Has he? I struggle to recall him playing well in any games, let alone a few of them whilst playing for Engl...

Re: Mark Noble - West Ham Legend

Maddison and Delph have both pulled out of the England squad. Time for a surprise call-up for an in-form, experienced midfielder...? Delph was called up?? Wait a minute, I thought Southgate was only really interested in promoting youth, not 30yo players in our squad? As consistent as one of my earl...

Re: Cresswell or Masuaku?

I do think you (and some others) are wrong. He chose, for right or wrong, to spend £24m on Fornals in Midfield and another £45m on Haller up front. He had the opportunity to spend money however he wished, but purposefully swerved spending any budget, however small on that position. If you truly beli...

Re: Cresswell or Masuaku?

Stupid decision. No ambition from the board. He wouldn’t get into any other Top 8 team. Wht are you not having a go at Pellegrini and Husillos also then? You're assuming this is just the Board penny pinching. Pellegrini whether people want to accept it or not, likes Cresswell. Maybe we should also ...

Re: Cresswell or Masuaku?

Very committed and loyal West Ham servant. Glad we got him tied down to a new deal lasting till he touches 33.

Pellegrini clearly trusts him, as also making him Captain whilst others were unavailable.
