Re: Cricket
I reckon Middlesex and Surrey might see the OS as something of a rival to Lords and the Oval, hence they may baulk at the idea of playing there. In which case Essex, Kent, Sussex and perhaps Northants in a mini tournament.

Re: Digital wrap now just a wrap!!
The proposal thy this replaces was a very low grade LED wrap that was frankly crap and provided no insulation whatsoever.
Some people may have been fooled by west hams own fanciful renders, but believe me this is miles better than was on the table.

Re: Close to a Full House?
No great surprise when the marginal cost of using those seats is virtually zero. It's essentially the business model of the German teams post 2006, "stack em high and sell them cheap" as the founder of Tesco put it. Spurs meanwhile will push the higher price, higher quality product. It'll ...

Re: Band 5
He should have got himself a ticket and left them in the UCL east student bar at home games. They'd have a better time I'm sure.

Re: Band 5
I still think it fails on fire evacuation H&S, and that's the essential reason why away will get both upper and lower tier seats.

Re: Band 5
So you're saying that the concourse should be segregated with home fans in the inner concourse and away fans in the outer concourse?
So how would that work in terms of fire exits and the like? How would you get into the inner concourse?

Re: Band 5
Viewing distances hae nothing to do with UEFA stadium catergorisation, they are a FIFA advisory. The Berlin Olynpic Stadium is category 4, hosted the CL final last year and has seats well outside of the FIFA advised zone.

Re: Away Allocation for the Olympic Stadium
If demand is there from our fans, it should be capped at 3000 which is the minimum requirement.

Re: Digital wrap now just a wrap!!
Just realised that Gold has said I am "misinformed" after I tweeted him asking what the hold up was given planing permission has been granted and the LLDC have approved funding the wrap, two things that are in the public domain already. Obviously they're trying to keep their cards to their...

the mullions on which the LED nodes sit were solid steel in the plans, i think. Just replace that with hollow aluminium and job done.

Re: Digital wrap now just a wrap!!
Your 'name' suggests that you are in the public sphere, either at the GLA or perhaps now LLDC. I really cant believe that the architects or supporting firms (Populous and Buro Happold primarily) would have overlooked weight loadings in their models. You might not be at liberty to disclose that, unde...

Re: Digital wrap now just a wrap!!
Extra work was done (to the tune of over £30 million) to strengthen the superstructure ahead of installing the roof. Populous's computer programmes would have told the them the extra stress on the superstructure from the (relatively lightweight) wrap and whether it would have been within acceptable ...
