Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2021
I never look too much into these stats, if someone is peppering shots at you or I week after week we could probably get some decent stats going. That said I rate Areola and I think he's a very good signing, especially at his age too. Interesting to see Martinez on there, something that further back...

Re: Summer 2020 Transfer Thread
If so, that is just putting the buying bit off until next summer with an obligation to buy. Suggests whatever has been found on the medical is considered very minor and we're basically happy with signing him but right now can't afford him/don't want to pay. It's not like that sort of deal allows us...

Re: Summer 2020 Transfer Thread
Got to be honest, really don't mind Dawson on loan. My biggest issue with the deal was that he's gash and that we would have said gash for 3 years. As a back-up option, we could do worse. EDIT: Do feel for the poor bas**** getting ripped to bits on West Ham twitter with everyone having a moan on the...

https://twitter.com/whufc_news/status/1314549393778003968?s=20 Just want to point out this is the article from The Athletic that this and Football365 are referencing: "Just in the Premier League, both Burnley and Southampton — another Chinese-owned club — are in talks with potential buyers who...

Re: Takeover talk
Are you saying you are ITK about ITK’ers? Haha no! I just happened to find myself in the middle of a strange twitter spat and got a message from him. I won't know anything else. Agreed. Anything is better than the current lot. Disagree with this. But I have more issues with the recent takeove...

Re: Takeover talk
Ex has said that the secret agent itk is talking nonsense in his last tweet. I knew it was rubbish due to the DG paid for Coufal silliness. What about our other 3 itk friends in here though? I don't think he said anything else. Didn't listen to the show myself just going off of twitter. So, I can s...

Re: Takeover talk
1st time posting after many years of reading, so be kind. I personally don't believe the Takeover talk (my opinion) It is just to coincidental, 'Sell Grady, mass uproar, throw out takeover talk' few wins, things settle, takeover talk in papers etc, disappears.... now Bad transfer window, about 20 p...

Re: Summer 2020 Transfer Thread
Here’s a new name to add to the ever growing list of CB’s. Two goals in 445 minutes of football this season. That's not bad. 82% passing could be slightly better. 1.2 Tackles, 1.4 Interceptions, 0.6 Fouls, 4.2 Clearances, 1.4 blocks through 5 games in Ligue 1. Those are impressive stats to start th...

Re: Summer 2020 Transfer Thread
Actually this is about the one thing he is not wrong on. The outcry on here for a proper DOF not him choosing transfers was deafening. The delight when he appointed MP/MH ahead of Moyes palpable. Unfortunately, as with many of his transfer choices, they proved to be very poor investments. No he isn...

Re: Takeover talk
A fella called Richard Lovett, he is the president of an entertainment agency. It is a bit random for Sean to tweet that which makes me think it could be something. That bloke is billy big bo**ocks. Being the President of CAA management is no small task. They are arguably the biggest talent agency ...

Re: Summer 2020 Transfer Thread
Villa have loads of money. That Swiss Ramble posting someone shared yesterday showed how much the owners have financed themselves. 3rd highest in the league over the last 5 years at £193 million Those figures are also before last seasons investment and this summer. And if honest I have no idea on t...

Re: Takeover talk
American sports owners see teams as assets to make money from. The idea they would be a massive improvement is not borne out by the likes of Randy Lerner and Martin Short. The guy at Arsenal has hardly covered himself in glory either. And who can forget the profiteering antics of the Glazers, the m...

Re: Summer 2020 Transfer Thread
You honestly think Chelsea are going to give away a GK they paid £70m for 2 years ago? Did you watch him last season, he literally lets in 50% of all shots he faces, and let's not forget how he mugged Sarri off by refusing to come off during a cup final.. Give me an ageing, dependable and highly pr...

I would like those Saudi's who so nearly bought Newcastle. OK they have a shocking record on Human Rights, but there again, Sullivan, is not exactly innocent of that accusation either. I mean, look at the way he treats his managers and us fans This I just couldn't do. Having to deal with a moral di...

Re: Gold & Sullivan
My mate has just sent me something, shows how Brentford have sold 6 players including Ollie Watkins Chris Mepham Scott Hogan for 95 million, their outlay on those 6 was 5.5 million. That’s how to run a selling club Interesting to note they are run on a "Moneyball"/data-led approach. Matth...
