Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

Like this signing. Think he will give us lots of formation options as he can play next to Rice in a 4231 or as a 10 in the same system. But also he can play wide or central in a 433 These kinds of options are what Pellegrini seems to like if he wants to get his ideal of fluid football. Also highligh...

Re: Andy Carroll

Decent player on his day. Too often injured of course.

THe biggest mistake was giving him a 6 year contract

Re: ⚽ Everton vs West Ham Utd: match thread (16/9)

Hoping to see a much better performance against a team likely to finish in the top 8 this season. Would like to see a 4-3-3 rather than 4-2-3-1 as we just dont have an appropriate number 10 for that to work - can give the wingers a bit more licence to roam with a more solid midfield 3. Fabianski Zab...

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018

Fabianski is an absolute must buy - would instantly improve that area of the team.

Re: West Ham Utd v Burnley: match thread

Would like to see a 4 -3 -3

Adrian
Zab collins ogbonna cresswell
Mario Noble Kouyate
Antonio Lanzini
Arnautovic

Get on the front foot with pace and power and hope we can defend in the last 20 minutes when they throw the ball very long to their forwards Barnes and Wood

Re: Swansea City -v- West Ham Utd : Match Thread (3/3/18)

Would keep arnautovic through the middle regardless of system. The rest is much of a muchness - at the moment trying to fit mario, lanzini, antonio, hernandez into the same side just shows the lack of balance we have especially considering we play with 5 at the back. The key will be matching them fo...

Re: West Ham Utd v Watford: match thread

I'd have Richarlason (sp?) and Deaney.[/quote]

Doucoure would be our best central midfielder by a long shot.

Nope - reckon they are either oblivious or smug.

Re: January transfer window

So to summarise the January transfer window... - Sell Sahko, 1 of only 3 fit strikers at the club. Scores on his debut and about to release a "tell all" interview - Sell Ayew, 1 of the remaining 2 fit strikers at the club, back to Swansea who we bought him from 2 years ago, for less than ...

Re: January transfer window

I have no issue with Collins going in the summer. But to lose him now is insane when we will need him between now and May. An amicable - thanks very much to the end of the season is fine as he wont be short of offers.

Re: January transfer window

I have a Geordie friend who goes to their games and he feels that Shelvey WOULD be missed - seen by the faithful as being one of the few players in a barcoded shirt who shows any passion for the cause, and looks like he actually cares. I think coming 'home' would be just the shot in the arm his car...

Re: January transfer window

Keep Ginge for all the reasons posted before. It should also be noted that we should keep him for what he could provide Brighton who concede the most goals in the league from set pieces and are a point (or 2) behind us. He could be critical in them staying up if we did let him leave. It also offers ...

Re: January transfer window

Would like coquelin here for sure. Think hes the defined defensive midfielder that we need. With regards to Cullen and not being picked by Bolton - Coquelin wasnt picked by Charlton and then Wenger threw him straight in against us and then played very well as a starter for about 18 months. Some midf...

Last two games against top teams

Man City assist
Chelsea assist

If he gets one Wednesday against another top team that is going three games back to back
Really rate him. Makes our midfield tick

But cresswell got the assist vs city!

Re: January transfer window

Reading the situation about Rubin Kazan.

Mvila and Alex Song *could* be available on a free in January if they dont get paid.

I know we have previous in this area with Lassana Diarra but a refresh of the midfield with two ball playing holding midfielders could work very nicely for us?

Re: Man City v West Ham United - Match Thread

Dear God. Sunday is going to be painful. I have been one of the ones bandying about the 10-0 scoreline. A bit of dark comedy humour. In all seriousness I cannot see us getting away with anything less than 6-0. If they take it easy maybe only 4 or 5. It really is hard to see where the next win is co...
