Re: Away Tickets Thread - Another year nearly complete

Chelsea still selling on 42 (got one), lower than Palace ... presemably because we have more seats?

Yes, I would be for that. It was much better without VAR, can't everyone see that?

Re: Wolverhampton Wanderers v West Ham United - match thread

... Take away the post match forensic analysis and you can get away with scrapping VAR and return to the pub debates. As that is unlikely to happen, VAR will remain. If fan power can see off the Euro Super League surely we can see off VAR too? I haven't met a single fan who thinks it is a good thing.

The only tech I'd keep would be the beep the ref gets when the ball wholly crosses the goal line.
I agree completely. Why aren't fans' organisations building a major campaign around this?

Re: Declan Rice

When Bobby left us at the end of his career and played for Fulham none of us booed him at the 75 cup final. He was still our player (in a sense) and it was great to see him on the pitch (of course we didn't want to see Fulham beat us but our historic relationship with him ruled out any any feelings ...

Re: Declan Rice

I agree with this (mostly) but I would prefer to see Arsenal win the league over City or Liverpool for 2 reasons:

1. It should be shared around a bit.

2. Arsenal aren't Chelsea or Spurs.

Re: Away Tickets Thread - Leverkusen S/O 51+ Pts

Palace sold out on 45. I have 42 but wouldn't have been tempted to buy a ticket for the reasons given a few pages back. For away fans it's definitely the worst ground in the premier league.

Re: Sam's ear

Sam gave priority to defending which few WHU managers have done in the past. I give him top marks for that but I didn't like him personally, he just gave me the impression of being untrustworthy/ on the make. Buying Carroll was a mistake, he scored literally a handful of good goals but had poor atti...

Re: ✍ Welcome Kurt Zouma

Even with his recent (relative) loss of mobility Zouma is probably still our best defender. He generally has great positioning and cuts out balls into the box makes tackles at the right time. But (as others have said) the errors are starting to creep in and the choice of the best starters at CB has ...

I was in the Newcastle ballot but I haven't received any communication from the club. I presume this means I have missed out? (I have checked my spam folder etc.)

Re: Away Tickets Thread -

I just managed to buy a Wolves ticket over the phone after the website just hung there for ages and wouldn't find me a ticket. The rep said initially tickets were not yet for sale - I said they are according to the website - he consulted his supervisor and then sold me a ticket. All a bit hit and mi...

Re: Ben Johnson

He's shown a bit of reasonable form recently at RB and once in midfield although he's obviously not a LW. Try him out at CB for half a match? His attitude is good which is part of what we need.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

I was at Forest, go to pretty much every game, home and away. My point is we currently have a struggling team, on Saturday we were 1 down and trying ( not very well) to get back into the game when the anti Moyes stuff started. It all looked very negative, certainly didn’t inspire the players, and w...

Re: Blue cards

Another wrong turn by football's lawmakers. Dissent is a yellow card. Enforce it without fear or favour. From minute 1 to minute 110. Cynical foul is a yellow. Enforce it without fear or favour . From minute 1 to minute 110. A seconc yellow in the same game is a red. Enforce it. A blue card for dis...

Sorry guys, this is another home ticket question but I have no idea where else to ask.. A friend of mine here in Warsaw wants to go to the home game v Arsenal. scatts, Assuming you have some credentials as a fan, could you vouch for them personally to the club? In my opinion you shouldn't have to s...

Re: Sheffield Utd v West Ham Utd - Match Thread

I thought Danny Murphy on MOTD was bang on when he explained (very politely) that our fans got it wrong when they sang "You don't know what you are doing" with the Cornet->Johnson sub. In fact Johnson was a revelation, looked the best player on the pitch. From now on we should play him in ...

Re: Ben Johnson

He needs to be kept. He's a proper west ham supporter as well which obviously helps . Looked a vastly better midfielder than soucek as well after he came on . It's a no brainer can play at least 4 different positions to boot . I agree that Johnson was impressive today, but Soucek offers a bit more ...
