Re: West Ham Utd v Bayer Leverkusen: match thread (2nd leg)
Just got home. Was the ref as bad (especially with the multiple Mickey fouls) as it looked? Or was he actually right? First half, well, the best I've seen us play. We made one of the current best teams in Europe look like rattled kids. Second half, just run out of steam. Edson just didn't have any m...

Re: West Ham Utd v Bayer Leverkusen: match thread (2nd leg)
Atmosphere is terrific. What a half, probably the best I've witnessed first hand.
They are rattled.
Let's get 'em.

Re: FA Cup replays scrapped
Oh yes, 'straight to penalties'. Money aside, group formats and replays generally serve in the interest of the 'better' team. The more games played, the more likely the cream rises to the top rather than a plucky underdog (Leicester being an obvious anomaly though in a league setting). Stick to one...

Re: FA Cup replays scrapped
In my ideal world... Replays scrapped (I'd probably sack off extra time too and go straight to penalties). Can divvy up PL money more to lower leagues if needed. No group stages for continental tournaments, just straight up knockout. FA cup final to be played after all English leagues have finished....

Re: West Ham Utd v Bayer Leverkusen: match thread (2nd leg)
Odds wise, we are as low as 15/2 and as high as 14/1. I'm not sure when/if we've overcome those odds before, but as others have said we need an early goal. Keep the ground rocking and pray for a second and a clean sheet. Either way, I'll be staying to the end, more so in thanks to the team and Moyse...

Re: Julian's CV
He was my favourite player when I was a boy. Had a poster of him on my bedroom wall, next to my Catherine Zeta-Jones shrine.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
I've never really been 'Moyse Out', but I do think the end of this season is a good place to amicably part ways. What Moyse has achieved with us, the squad he inherited and in spite of our owners, has been remarkable. Even if this season ends in a damp squib, I'll remember the last couple of years f...

Re: West Ham Utd v Bayer Leverkusen: match thread (2nd leg)
Obviously disappointed we aren't going in to this on level terms, especially after 80mins or so of about as solid defending as I've seen us play. Anyway, I got the nod from my brother today that tickets are sorted so although I hope we can manage a very unlikely result, I'm going to enjoy what I can...

Re: Grow 2021-24
Finally gave the front garden a mow (not a euphemism). Last cut was probably at the end of October, but it hadn't grown 'that' much. (Probably because it's north facing so usually in the shade?). Got the back garden fully paved last summer but I am tempted to get a trough or something at the front t...

Re: The Labour Party Thread
I'll reserve my personal judgement until guilt is proven.
Whether the benefit was a few grand for a few million, if guilty, the principle alone should be enough for the sane to not want those kinds of people as MPs.

Such a shame really. Our defending for 80 mins was about as good as I've seen it.
