Post office and the Royal Mail (IDS) are not the same company.....DK has no involvement with the post Office.

Sorry, off topic.

Re: January transfer window

I’d especially make sure we get Ben Johnson tied down to a new contract. Agree, he is definitely benefitting from game time and it was a great cameo coming on in midfield against SU last week. Johnson has been clear he wants game time, not money...I would give him Coufal's place for the run in... i...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

Whilst I'm no fan of Moyes style, at least we are now aware that it is evolving with the players that are coming in and the back room changes are fundamental to this...along with the more invisible role of the owner. Back to Lyall, and while he is fondly remembered for bringing in cups, the patience...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

A lot of good comments and while I have been critical of the sometimes dire playing style it is impossible to argue that he does not deserve an extended contract and that the club would be taking a suicidal risk in introducing another coach and system. A couple of key areas for me He has managed to ...

Re: Summer 2023/24 Transfer Thread

Aguerd comes across as quite an educated and cultured man to me. I'm not sure he'd fancy living in such a backward country at this stage of his career even with the money on offer. Quite a statement to call it a "backward country", many things in the middle east are way ahead of Europe, j...

Re: The kids are all right

Part of this though also comes down to the business aspects of developing young players and the best way to do this that benefits the players and the club. Some of the fees received for arsenal, Chelsea and City youngsters beggars belief...furthermore this transfer window Chelsea have loaned out 16 ...

Re: Summer 2023/24 Transfer Thread

I really do hope that the club are hopeful that some of these young guns coming through are able to make the grade I can then understand the club not throwing money at players that may not be needed in the next 2 years I've just posted on the 'kids' thread....another great example in Pierre Ekwah, ...

Re: The kids are all right

If you need an example of players not getting a chance, Pierre Ekwah has just scored a couple of bangers for Sunderland who are 3 up against Southampton. We gave him zero game time, he has been ever present for Sunderland since he left and now looks like a 20M Midfielder. He was captain of our U21 f...

Re: Summer 2023/24 Transfer Thread

A lot of good comments on the status at the close of the window, although it will not be truly closed until we understand the collateral damage from Saudi interest in our players. In: Alvarez, JWP, Mav, Kudus, (probably) Lingard Out : Rice, Scammaca, Lanzini, 6/10 Positives - quality of incoming pla...

Re: Summer 2023/24 Transfer Thread

Guys It is what it is I think we have improved the quality on the first 16 squad wise. true we maybe should have signed a striker, a real defensive midfielder, a left back, a right back .. god knows who else, but the true picture is Moyes likes a tight knot group in the dressing room, we are not i ...

He is a free agent and can sign a contract anytime. I think ITK's have already stated that he will be evaluated further during the international break and then offered (or otherwise) a contract.

Re: Summer 2023/24 Transfer Thread

Ings replaced (well, covered for) Scamacca, Avarez for Rice, Mavraponos for Dawson (pushing the others down the pecking order presumably) Ward-Prowse for Lanzini Vlasic and Masuaku haven't really left the squad, as they weren't in it. - Cornet replaced one or both last summer. And arguably Benrahma...

Re: Summer 2023/24 Transfer Thread

A useful successor for Antonio should be at the club for over a year, instead the club is now scraping the barrel to get bodies in for that position. Agree with many of the comments about lack of long term squad planning, but to be fair, MA's successor was in place a year ago, he was just a poor ch...

Re: Summer 2023/24 Transfer Thread

I'm not convinced Full back is critical, it looks like Cresswell is staying as left sided back up and at right we have Coufal and Johnson. Johnson has 1+1 left on his contract and I get the impression Moyes wants him to sign his contract and would play more if he signed up. I think Johnson has lost ...

Re: Summer 2023/24 Transfer Thread

Just listened to Moyes' post match presser on the OS, when asked about Alvarez he said "If we had another midfielder i probably would have subbed him as he was starting to look a bit tired". That suggests to me that we are looking for another midfielder in that position. It does suggest s...

I dont think it was massive, 20 to 30MM? However the impact on our global image and qualification for this seasons Europa League has to be added to the number....for the next accounts.
