Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Chelsea: match thread

So just to confirm, Masuaku is our only decent LWB, in the sense that he has the attributes to play there. Last week Moyes tried Johnson and it didn't work well, in fact the back 5 didn't really work, and arguably we played better once Dawson was sent off and by default we reverted to a back 4. Not ...

Re: Coronavirus

So standing at urinal you dont think you might get droplets on your shoes.. do you touch your shoes when you take them off? Again you are creating alternative scenarios to move off point. My post was about spitting. Yes there are lots of other ways one can catch or be exposed to COVID-19, or any vi...

Re: Coronavirus

All things are relative, but that’s a puerile way to justify any behaviour.

Spitting in a public place indicates both a lack of civic sense and poor awareness of hygiene.

Like coughs and sneezes, droplets from the spit of an infected person can transmit infections to others.

Re: Coronavirus

Related to this thread, why do people feel the need to spit in the urinals when going to the toilet? I haven’t used the facilities once at the stadium without the fellas either side of me spitting in the urinals, often repeatedly. It can’t be necessary, not as though they are playing (though I know ...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

Please stop making excuses for this atrocious manager. Granted the owners have much to answer for, the new stadium is a soulless bowl, and so forth, but this guy isn’t fit to manage a league two side. If the shocking change of formation against Brighton wasn’t enough evidence (was he the only one in...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Getting Bowen over the line would be the best news for Haller; a wide player who can actually put in an early (quality) cross. It’s what he has been crying out for.

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

Consistently **** at team selection and tactics Haller on his own Lanzini starts over fornals Slowest midfield in the league of noble, rice and snod. Really playing to our strengths :) :D  Couldn't agree more. A tactical dinosaur, very poor appointment. Looking forward to Manager #19, can't c...

Re: West Ham Utd v Liverpool: match thread

Mr Moyes demonstrates yet again what a clueless dimwit he is. Didn't we do this against Leicester, invited pressure then changed at half time when 2-0 down? Lanzini has the presence of a jellyfish and this will be wave upon wave (pardon the pun) of Liverpool attacks, with Haller isolated and no effe...

Strongest team cannot include Lanzini. On current form and fitness he shouldn’t be anywhere near our match day squad, even our injury hit one.

Re: Sheffield United v West Ham United: Match Thread

I’m sorry but that is shocking team selection, for so many reasons. Zabaletta isn’t a wing back. Balbuena may struggle on the right of a back 3; he lacks pace and if exposed to a winger operating behind Zabaletta that’s not sensible. Masuaku is just toilet. And we’re overly defensive, weak in attack...

Sorry, we were on a bit of a run with Ogbonna partnering Diop. Exactly why was Balbuena brought back into the team?

Re: Manuel Lanzini (New Contract Signed)

And there was I thinking I was the only supporter hugely underwhelmed... Just one other observation, in our present system it’s vital that the AM’s, whether central or wide, occasionally get beyond Haller. Otherwise the opposing centre backs can play as high up as they like. Yarmolenko does it regul...

Re: Manuel Lanzini (New Contract Signed)

Hard hat on. Can’t see it being a huge loss. Think he’s overrated on this forum. Struggles to influence games, seems to only impose himself in the latter stages when (if) the game gets stretched. Easily knocked off the ball. I’m not saying he was the only player who underperformed against Palace to...

Re: ⚽ Brighton and Hove Albion vs West Ham United: Match Thread

Wilshere, Lanzini, Fornals in midfield, plus Hernandez up front, ridiculously lightweight, will get brushed aside. Hernandez can’t play alone up front. Sometimes this game isn’t rocket science. Very poor tactical decision by the manager, 45 minutes of opportunity wasted, hope he changes things arou...
