Re: Protests against the board being planned

Ian Abrahams is so thick. Posting images of himself eating some rank Aunt Bessies apple pie in hospitality whilst the protest was taking place makes his comments on it worthless, if they were ever worth anything in the first place. I think he might just annoy the wrong people if he carries on. I 'm...

Top work everybody. The longest journey begins,as they say, with a single step. This can be built upon.

I asked this bloke where I could get some condoms, he said : 'have you tried Boots?', I said: ' yeah, but it just kept leaking out the laceholes'.
[Wrong thread I know, but it's an attempt to avoid the Brighton forensic Joke examination service, as I think it's probably a 'fail'].

Re: A vote of confidence [POLL]

I don't believe success on the pitch is in anyway a priority with the current owners other than to continue to maintain PL status. Evidently, even when it comes to that, they're bloody hopeless.

....Or you're planning on a full scale exodus of any quality you might have at the end of the season, and building a team that might survive in the Championship.

Re: The Mental Health Thread - (Help Contacts in First Post).

My kids' mother is currently going through the longest menopause in the history of womanhood. I'm tempted to say it's like WW3, but in truth it's more like WW1.. Completely disorganised and utter chaos. Her short term memory is totally shot, and at times she loses any sense of rationality she ever h...

Re: VAR - yes or no ?

They'll only change it when a 'top 6' side 's involved (and it goes against them) in a match towards the end of the season or a cup final......and then they'll do it pretty quickly.

Re: The Mental Health Thread - (Help Contacts in First Post).

Seems to me, given the constraints of parenthood( and in 5 or 6 years your daughter will be starting to swim unaided(as it were), and you'll still have ,with luck,3useful decades in front of you) you can do just about anything you want....anywhere you want to do it. 50 ain't that old(I had my first ...

That's what I mean by finished ............. Ok. Except that last time I looked, Wimbledon were in L1( sure, they didn't have their own ground but .....). A guy who's kid plays in my lad's team, here in rural Worcestershire, goes home and away.....so they still exist. Granted, you can't watch them on...

Re: A place to call home: where next?

The Wadworth's is pretty good,IMO. Apropos of nothing, and I've no idea how far you 'd want to be from the SE, but if you take a line N>S from say Shrewsbury to Newent (basically along the Marches) there are some excellent places to live at pretty decent prices: Montgomery, Bishops Castle,Knighton,Ki...

Re: Little things that irritate you

My Skoda (had to replace the Passat@260,000 miles...rusty O/S wing) is 17 yrs old, and similar to yours in the clock dept, but I see the enforced arithmetic as a positive step in the constant fight against senility. It did p*ss me off having to shell out 350 quid for another car,but so far it's done...
