Re: The Mental Health Thread - (Help Contacts in First Post).

That ^ is a really good idea. Although I never manage to keep one together for more than a few months, and it doesn't matter if you miss a few days out, I feel like an idiot for not suggesting this before. I just have a few cheap exercise books and a pencil, and I write my down my thoughts,(and surp...

Re: Modelling agencies

I was once headhunted by Uglies (no kidding), turned it down as dispatching at that time paid so much better.

They were nice people, and a couple of acquaintances signed up with them.Think they're still around.

Re: The Mental Health Thread - (Help Contacts in First Post).

Mega Ron , My pms don't send, unless it's a reply ,(I'm probably doing something mindblowingly stupid), but if you ever need to let off steam ,feel free to pm me.If they loosen my straight jacket for a few minutes, I'll be happy to reply. I know it sounds banal, but however lousy things are,f*ck me d...

Re: The Mental Health Thread - (Help Contacts in First Post).

Ron, I've played the GP lottery, and it's not always bad. I've found that many GPs when faced with mental illness present themselves completely differently, in the last few years attitudes/empathy etc have improved exponentially. Added to this, IF you don't get on ,you can always arrange to see anot...

Re: Board vs Pellegrini [POLL]

Graza has it right. I voted for the board, but now, taking a proper look at the poll title : 'Who's to blame for the current EPL Position ?' , I think it may well be Gsb,Pellers and the players. But any of us over say 30, have seen us yo-yo over the years between mid prem and mid champ, with a cup run...

No blame attached to ANYONE on here, the photos truly are magical, but this , in my opinion,is probably the most depressing thread we've ever had.

To hell with it, let's just sign Moyes or Allardyce, anyone else might just possibly relight the tiniest glimmer of enthusiasm and even hope. I'd hate that, it's the hope that kills you.

Couldn't even comment yesterday.
I guess the heroes of your youth pass away and it highlights your own mortality, but this guy,for me was more than just a great cricketer, he was a brilliant bloke.
He loved cricket, red wine and Wagner......How f*ckin cool is that? R.I.P. Bob.

Re: The Mental Health Thread - (Help Contacts in First Post).

The best advice ,as ever.
I'd add: Fill your tank ,and a couple of cans, the day before then head out about midday, there's no one around, the roads are empty. Aim at the horizon.

Re: The Moaning About Christmas Thread.

Unsurprisingly, not my favourite time of year. As someone has pointed out already, it just intensifies everything so if your life's basically good that's great if it's ,let's say, a little more problematic, it ain't so great. When I was a despatcher I was the one @SD who always volunteered to be on ...

Rather than undermine, they should just back the judgment that caused them to employ him, give him 2 players and shut up.
So basically, change the habits of a lifetime....

But the performance on the pitch, and quality of the game was once only part of the match day experience, now , at least at our place, that's all there is.

I 've found that, by and large ,they're not usually offended by whatever name you give them, in fact they don't seem to care that much at all. Mine answers to both 'Scrap' and 'Tw*t'.
